Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Hey! So this all started about two months ago when I decided it would be a good idea to self-irrigate my ear after experiencing a lot of wax. I got a syringe and some warm water and just started blasting into my right ear canal. It didn't end up being successful as the wax never actually did come out, but I then started having earaches that have never fully healed. I've been to the doctor 4 times since then.
Hi, I am a 31 year old male and I took 2 doses of fluconazole to treat a yeast infection, I now have a rash coming up on the bottom of my feet only on the arches , ankles, wrist, hands, and arms. They are small flat head and raised like blisters but don't seem to be filled with fluid and doesn't really itch, can the fluconazole cause this skin reaction?
Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
I was prescribed Bactrim and fluconazole in case yeast infection was to arise. I do not know how long it took for symptoms to arise after taking this medication, because I was unaware any side effects could ever effect me, and also... I'm not really the one to... pin point the how and why? well until now.

Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!

Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
I got some sores also on my penis gland. My doctor thought that I am having HSV 1/2. He ordered a blood test (igg). Both came back negative for HSV 1 and 2. Then he gave me fluconazole for the yeast infection and it healed me. Then last year November (2013), I had similar symptoms on my penis gland and under the foreskin. I got fluconazole from the doctor for the yeast infection, but it did not go away completely (It healed and came back several times).
My blood cortisol level is high. My doctor ordered a 24 hour urine test. I am currently taking fluconazole tablets & miconozole cream for a yeast infection. Also, I used topical cortisone cream on my face yesterday. I plan to collect the urine tomorrow. Will any of this interfere with the results?

I was recently tested for all STDs because I have been having a recurring yeast infection since last November. I have been taking fluconazole on and off since. This last infection was really severe and it started on a Sunday. I made a doctor appt for that following Wednesday where I was tested. My results came back positive for a yeast infection and negative for everything else...except the herpes blood test. My result was <0.90.

Does not work in many, fluconazole. Your doc may put you on terbinafine, or griseofulvin for best results.
He is Rxing fluconazole for 6 weeks, one tab a day, 100mg. Is this safe? I am healthy for the most part, 40 yr old female with Hashimoto's. My main symptom is chronic stomach bloating. Blood clot formation under the toenails is caused by some kind of external pressure which has caused capillaries on the surface to break. This extravasated blood then collects below the surface of the nail, causing it to appear bluish-black.
