Still no help. I tried calling dr again and she called in fluconazole 150mg. Still no help so tried calling again but they would never call me back so I went to plain parenthood and they said I still had it and gave me metronidazole signal dose and told me I needed to see another ob because they felt it should have gone away. So made an appointment with another ob.
A few months back (March) I had intercourse with a "friend" and during the latter part of the month, I was experiencing some pain in my Vagina. It was itchy, sore and most horrible of all.. I had this awful green/yellow discharge. I had to change my underwear lots of times.
When I found out that I had trich, I bought Metronidazole and took 2grams (1 dosage) of it. Metronidazole made me feel really sick! Anyway, after a week I realized that I still had trich.

There are no known interactions between fluconazole and propranolol, so you can safely take them together.

Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Fluconazole is an antifungal and one pill stays in the blood stream for 3 days. It is normal to take a 'loading dose' the first time which helps get a jump start on the infection. I would take it as the doctor directed.

A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). I treated with Monistat (miconazole)cream, which mostly cleared up my symptoms. I still felt somewhat irritated down there so I went to the doctor. She took a swab sample that came back negative for yeast/bacteria/gonorrhea/chlamydia.I felt fine for 2 weeks, then felt intense burning during intercourse . A few days after that, the itch was back.
It is not killing probiotic cultures in your bowels. And 6 weeks is not really longterm, especially since fluconazole is not an antibiotic, but an antifungal. Candida is a mean one, and hard to get rid of. But Candida hates a balanced diet with lots of beans, veggies, wholemeal, yoghurt and fruits. Reduce your meat and sugar intake to aid the meds to kill it off. Good luck!
I had this white scaling on the penis glans going on for almost 3 weeks and not improving. I went to see a general practitioner and he said it is balanatis. He prescribed 2mg of Tinizadole which reading about I found it is NOT used for fungus problems. Do not know if I should go ahead and take it. He did nor presctibe anything else and said one dos will likely suffice...
A couple weeks later, my urethritis and drip gets even worse and I start to have full on discharges.I get tested yet again, and I bring girl #1 with me. She's had absolutely no symptoms. She was even examined and the doctor said she looked fine.We both get Doxycycline and I feel better.Tests were negative.I then continued to have unprotected sex with girl #1 and everything is normal.A couple months later I start having sex with girl #2 again.
Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
The urine tests for STDs are just as good as the far less pleasant urethral swabs - believe them, they are good tests. In addition, if you have persistent symptoms after being treated sequentially with metronidazole, then tinidazole, you do not have trich. Could you be paying far more attention to yourself than the past. That is one possibility, the other is that something else is going on. You need not worry about STDs at this time.
His attempt to run a test for Trichomonas was botched. Labs are not prepared to test men. I finished that last round of Tinidazole and doxy3.5 weeks ago, and I am still having symptoms. My scrotum aches, I still have a constant slight urge to urinate, and discomfort of the urethra is still there. According to the Johns Hopkins poc-it recommends a 28 day course of Tinidazole or Metronidazole for Trichomonas causing Prostatitis. Is this a good way to go? Are there any other STDs to check?
I have had rashes and dark skin on and around scrotum and inner thigh for last 5-6 years. In the beginning rashes and small cuts used to appear between inner thighs and they would heal themselves but they left dark and loose skin when they disappeared. But for last 2-3 months these rashes and cuts started appearing again in ferocious way and these have extended on testicle skins too. When they appear it itches too much results in small cuts with small blood. i m very depressed.
oh and the doctor gave me medicine for thrush anyway (two 100 mg fluconazole pills one to take that day and one for 2 days later) and it didnt go away so it must not be thrush
Although rare, a small proportion of trich are resistant to metronidazole and tinidazole and it would be good to close this loop, making sure that the treatment you both took worked.
3. It sounds like you have been checked for signs of inflammation in your urine or a smear from your penis, is this correct? This would be a check for white blood cells (WBCs). If not done, it should be. If this is negative, there is little chance that there is persistent inflammation.

Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
ve been tested and always come back negative for everything, why did your doc put you on flagyl and amox and now tinidazole, if all your lab tests show nothing that would warrant those meds?
Are you using condoms or spray or cream contraceptives?
It seems like first thing to do is buy 15 days worth of brand new panties, wear loose clothing, wash with unscented mild baby soaps, and refrain from any kind of sexual contact to see if this all clears up.

I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
I work out 4 times a week so i sweat a lot. But 4 months ago, it started itching down there especially around my perianal area! I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
dr, in the morning when i went for pee i saw a white powder like mark around my pee hole, i am having amebiosis and continuing ciprofloxacin 500mg with tinidazole 600mg as prescribed by my doctor. is there any thing serious, please help me.
