diflucan

Avatar f tn I'm taking 1 tablet twice a day fluconazole for 7 days .
Avatar f tn Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!
Avatar f tn Fluconazole is an antifungal and one pill stays in the blood stream for 3 days. It is normal to take a 'loading dose' the first time which helps get a jump start on the infection. I would take it as the doctor directed. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Avatar f tn Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Now I'm scared because I don't know if I could take this pill this late in my pregnancy I'm 39 week now. Have anyone ever took this pill after 35 weeks?

Avatar f tn was found during my annual) and my dr (who is new and i do not normally see) prescribed me diflucan for 12 weeks, one pill, once a week. I have never heard of this or treated a yeast infection with diflucan like this before and am starting to think this doctor I saw was a quack/slave to drug company kind of doctor. Has anyone ever been prescribed diflucan this way?
Avatar f tn My doc usually calls me in terconazole goo, he said the diflucan or fluconazole pill isnt allowed during pregnancy which ***** because having a yeast infection isnt bad enough, add dealing with the goo treatment to it.
689655 tn?1227249113 Have you tried taking a probiotic (inner health plus/acidophillis/lactobascillis) in conjunction with the fluconazole? I used to get really bad thrush and I ended up taking a probiotic from the pharmacy and it worked really well.
Avatar f tn Seeking a third opinion, I found my current Gynocologist, who prescribed a week of fluconazole, taken once daily, which seemed to help the dryness and rashy irritation, but not the burning, aching, and sporadic itching. After more fluconazole, she switched me to the birth control pill (which made me too sick to function) and put me on Zoloft (which made me too depressed to get out of bed), diagnosing me with vulvodynia, something I'd never heard of. I just wonder... How did this happen?
Avatar f tn Went to the dr and she took a culture and at the same time gave me a 150mg of Fluconazole. I took the pill and felt better, a week later found out my culture for yeast came back negative. I was still feeling irritated and raw externally especially during and after sex. I still wasn't getting better so I went to the dr two weeks ago and she did a culture to check me for EVERYTHING. During her examination she could see where I was red and irritated externally.
Avatar f tn Anytime you are on a prescription medication and you see a change or something happens, it's best to report it to your doctor so they are aware of what is happening- they will also be able to tell you if it's a side effect or something totally separate. Since fluconazole is used to treat yeast infections- it's not likely the cause, but the doctor should still know that you saw the fungal infection return, despite being on the medication.
Avatar f tn Fungal infections can be really hard to get rid of. Since it's responded to the fluconazole and the lotrimin, I see no reason to suspect it's anything but yeast. Also, you and your partner tested for everything. (Most of what you tested for wouldn't give you symptoms like this, but it's good to know that you didn't have it.) Have you returned to the doctor since your symptoms haven't fully cleared up? You should.
Avatar f tn hello dr 4 weeks ago i had protected sex in a massage parl right after finish she wipe me with a cloth later that night i started feeling a tingling sensation on my testicles it went to for about a week than i had a rash of small dots on my penis eent to the doctor and gave me a pill of fluconazole and antifungal cream but its been almost a month and it hasnt help am super worried the doctor told me it doesnt look like herpes cause i dont have any blisters just dots on my penis and that herpes w
Avatar f tn The pelvic pain went away (even though I have been feeling pelvic pain again for the past 24 hours but my period is due tomorrow or the day after so I have dismissed it) but the pinprick itching is way less than the initial symptoms but still there. *This problem has been persisting for over 8 months!!! Yesterday I discovered a pimple on the outside, lower part of my vagina. I hadn't even felt it there until I was getting ready to shower.
Avatar n tn m hoping to see the doctor again soon. I read on the internet that Fluconazole is not the most effective medication, and oral Lamisil is better. Is this true? Should I ask for Lamisil when I see the doctor? I'm worried that what I have is not ringworm at all, but then again, it did respond somewhat to the Fluconazole.
Avatar f tn Even with the 1 pill the doc gives you it takes 7 days too get rid of a yeast infection the reason why I used monistat 7 the 2nd time is cause the pill don't stop the itching it just cures the infection from the inside
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Avatar f tn Hello and hope you are doing well. There are no known interactions between fluconazole and propranolol, so you can safely take them together. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn This time I took fluconazole 150 mg that my doctor prescribed at the last visit. I even took a second dose 72 hours later and I am still having itching, redness, and soreness. I am scared now, I don't know why fluconazole isn't working (it worked for me in the past). What else can I use? I feel out of options, since fluconazole failed. It can't be bacterial, because discharge is white and odorless.
Avatar m tn The pill my doctor gives me is Diflucan. She only gives it to me when I have one. I get one whenever I have to take antibiotics.. It does not matter how much freaken yogart I eat. I think the diet goes for when you start getting them and I did not get a yeast infection ever until I had sex as well. So I am thinking that it could help. Although since I only get them when I take antibiotics I never paid attention to looking for the diet again.
Avatar f tn ve had a yeast infection for about 3 months now and after repeatedly telling my doctor, today she did the group b strep and said it looks like I have a yeast infection(really?!) I haven't been itchy the whole 3 months but in February I got the canesten cream (after going to l&d for thinking i had an infection, she told me to get some) and use it on days when I am itchy.
Avatar f tn Or you can use the generic store brand.. You will find it in the isle near the pregnancy tests and things of that nature. Look for monistat.....there are a bunch of different kinds...1 days...3 days....7 days.....and below that you can find the generic brands of monistat..... This is the only thing you can use during pregnancy to get rid of a yeast infection, and unfortunately, its not a pill you take orally. They are inserts that you use vaginally.
Avatar f tn I completed my last dose of metronidazole 4 days ago and also took fluconazole after completion. I noticed a yellow tint on both sides of my tongue the Friday I completed the last pill and took the fluconazole. I was instructed to take metronidazole 2times daily for 7 days. During the time taking it i experienced pain in muscles, jaw pain, headaches, dizziness, sweating, pebble like stool...
