One can develop a rash with fluconazole. However it is not possible for the rash to start one month later and spread. The rash could be due to cosmetics, creams, lotions, soaps etc. It can also be due to lupus. Eczema and psoriasis are the other possibilities. It can also be fungal.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage without examining the rash. Consult a skin specialist for further diagnosis and treatment. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted.
Today, my rash is on 50% of my body and the spots are also here. Do you think eczema could cure with fluconazole and itraconazole ? What are your point of view ?
s lasted around 4 months in genital area, tested for STDs all negative. Doctor unsure as no obvious rash, prescribed 4 weeks of fluconazole to see if it is a fungal infection, 50mg every morning for 4 weeks.
Now the itching is still present 3 weeks in, would you expect the itching to have subsided by now? I'm unsure how this drug works.
Also I seemed to develop a small red rash whilst on these tablets that comes and goes?

It lasted a fairly long time. When I woke up my penis felt raw and a little sore, and within the day a rash started to develop on the penis head. And within less than 24 hours and there was a full rash on my penis head, which was itchy and burning. I went to the resort doctor, who said it was an allergic reaction to the latex condom used. She gave me vitamin a+d cream and oral steroid tablets. Didn't too much except help with the burning a bit.

Hi, im 25. So i started having UTI symptoms together with a mild vaginal itch and i did a urine MCS & HVS. S.aureus was seen in my urine but nothing in the HVS. i was prescribed ciproflox. Fastforward to 3days on the drug i started having this intense vaginal itch on my labia minora accompanied by vaginal rash on my labia minora. I have completed my dose and i'm still having mild itching.
My question for the forum pertains to some tiny red dots that appeared on my body which I assume are petechiae because they are tiny, red, not raised and disappear in 2-3 days. I began taking fluconazole once a week for 4 weeks. I had a cbc done the day I began taking the medication and my platelets were at 201,000. About 2-3 weeks into the medication I noticed the dots, some on my abdomen inner thighs and arms. There are only a few and separated not like a petechial rash(clumped together).
If you think you really had an allergic reaction to the Fluconazole and forgot to tell the doctor you might want to call the office and tell them that and see if they still want you to use this since it is in the same class as the other drug.
Yes the doctor is right that the fungus likes creases of the skin. So I don't know how that helps you but it is just information. Sexual partners won't always get fungal infections. So don't worry about it.
I got a yeast infection a while ago. After using creams and taking fluconazole, I finally was able to get it fixed. Now, there is a minor complication I can't seem to diagnose. It seems like rash outlining the purple veins underneath my foreskin. I have been applying a&d cream and occasionally cortisone cream, but it won't go away. Does anyone have any idea what else I can do?

This comes in capsule form that you can also buy from the pharmacy without prescription. There is Fluconazole 150mg that is a single dose oral capsule and Fluconazole 50mg that comes in a pack of 7 which one capsule is taken daily for the 7 days.
If you are sexually active, it would be a good idea to get checked out for any STD and also have your blood tested for diabetes.

I have had rashes and dark skin on and around scrotum and inner thigh for last 5-6 years. In the beginning rashes and small cuts used to appear between inner thighs and they would heal themselves but they left dark and loose skin when they disappeared. But for last 2-3 months these rashes and cuts started appearing again in ferocious way and these have extended on testicle skins too. When they appear it itches too much results in small cuts with small blood. i m very depressed.

There are also contraindications if a patient is taking other medications, like Lipitor or Atorvastatin and fluconazole and potentiating effects. So the risks/benefits of a systemic medication need to be looked at compared to a topical medication.

Too bad you don't have a doctor, you sound like you've got a systematic problem that needs a clear diagnosis. It might be thrush, for example, but if white cells were found it is also getting a secondary infection, which should be treated, and it could be a lot of other things that aren't even dermatological, like lupus.
Now this is the crazy thing that i was getting these cut feeling for about 7 weeks on the corner of my lips doctor tell me there nothing there.. So doctor give me fluconazole 150 mg for 10days and rash is still there and mouth feeling the same i did used anitfungal creams and nothing working.... can someone help?

There are no known interactions between fluconazole and propranolol, so you can safely take them together.

Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Fluconazole is an antifungal and one pill stays in the blood stream for 3 days. It is normal to take a 'loading dose' the first time which helps get a jump start on the infection. I would take it as the doctor directed.

A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). I treated with Monistat (miconazole)cream, which mostly cleared up my symptoms. I still felt somewhat irritated down there so I went to the doctor. She took a swab sample that came back negative for yeast/bacteria/gonorrhea/chlamydia.I felt fine for 2 weeks, then felt intense burning during intercourse . A few days after that, the itch was back.
