from the lower dose (weakness, muscle/joint pain, nausea/vomiting, worsening of asthma symptoms), please contact your doctor immediately - she may want you to either stay at whatever dose you are on at that time for a while or perhaps increase your dose slightly for a while before resuming the tapering schedule.
Steroids, whether oral or inhaled, are a great medication for asthma (and other illnesses/diseases), but they also can have horrible side effects.
m sure there are drugs that you can safely take for your asthma while you are pregnant. The best course of action would be to consult with your doctor if that is what you are the route you are most comfortabe with.
Alternatively, a non-toxic salt pipe can be used in conjunction with, or as an adjuvant to allopathic medicine or exclusive of any medication as well.

Within days of stopping the flovent again the rash was back, even worse than the first time. I strongly suspect that the flovent (or I should say stopping the flovent) is the cause of the rash and that the use of the flovent supresses it. The pediatrician had not heard of this and subsequently referred us to a dermatologist. I know if will take several weeks to get an appointment with the dermatologist.
Albuterol created a vocal cord problem. Now been put on Flovent Diskus 100mgc and continue the Albuterol. Question, do the Flovent and Advair have the fluticasone propionate ingredient in common? Tonight will be my 1st use of the Flovent.

my pharmacist says I shouldn't be using flovent but ventolin. When I told my Dr. I was very wheezy in the a.m. and at night.....he increased my flovent to b.i.d. who am I supposed to believe????? Also, why not...
I am taking Flovent, Spiriva and ProAir. Since I've been on the medication I've been Dxed with idiopathic neuropathy, cervical radiculopathy, carpel tunnel. I also have other entrapment symptoms, ulnar ,and I think in my legs as well.
Sometimes I get a burst of nerve pain in my arms and legs a few minutes after using the Flovent and it also causes some tendon swelling. I've shown over and over that I have less pain on lower doses of meds.
Does anyone get a racing heart from taking flovent, or has expienced dizzeness, short of breath and lots of headaches?

Should I use my flovent with a new 5 day rx of pred for asthma? Flare up a result of the flu so dr orderedpred 20mg twice a day for 5 days.
The past few months of sicknesses has been the worst. He was on prednisone 3 more times and still while on Singulair. Now he is on Flovent and Singulair hoping to keep his wheezing under control. But he remains with this wet cough. It's from the asthma.
Has your son ever had wheezing? The Singulair is pretty safe although it can have sleeping side effects. We have to give to him at night right b-4 bed or it keeps him up. It has helped, but just not enough.
I have asthma and im pregnant too and btw its my first baby too. Congrats btw!! My asthma has been steady. But the only thing is that i know of some doctors let you use your inhaler and some say not to it just depends how active your asthma has been in the recent past years. Since mines was active im allowed to use it. But just ask your doctor.
What medicines have you or your children been on for this? My 3 year old son was just diagnosed with EE this past August, and he's been using Flovent 1 puff twice a day since then. The last month or two I've noticed that he has been extremely aggressive, agitated, and just plain mean and disrespectful. I am 100% sure it is due to the Flovent. Is there an alternative I should be asking for? Will all of the EE medicines give his just such a reaction since they are all going to be steroids?
He told me my results were consistent with asthma and prescribed me Advair while also using Proair for relief. Its been one week and the Advair hasnt made my symptoms any better. Im starting to wonder if I have something other than asthma. Any thoughts/advice/feedback?

flovent and serevent. Flovent is a corticosteroid for inflammation and serevent is a long acting bronchodialator. Serevent is the drug that can interfere with heart rhythm.
When I started having symptoms in April, I stopped using Advair and now I only use Flovent. When I saw my pulmonologist I told him that I was only taking flovent (he had given me a prescription for both to use when my asthma got really bad.) He agreed with my decision.
