ve never had it, it feels like mouth (tongue and throat) ulcers. They look like fuzzy white spots and your tongue is white.
My advice BRUSH after using ICS, especially if you've taken antibiotics recently or have started to take a medication that makes your mouth dry. I'm pretty sure that's why I got it because both of those apply to me and I've never had thrush until then.

The reason im wondering is because alot of times certain inhalers will mess with your tongue such as making it numb and swollen, making it wierd colors, or sometimes even ooze out puss and phlem, A few of the inhalers that will do this unless you rinse your mouth out after every actuation are, Combivent, Flovent, ADVAIR or even some nose sprays that hit the back of your tongue. Within days of stopping the flovent again the rash was back, even worse than the first time. I strongly suspect that the flovent (or I should say stopping the flovent) is the cause of the rash and that the use of the flovent supresses it. The pediatrician had not heard of this and subsequently referred us to a dermatologist. I know if will take several weeks to get an appointment with the dermatologist.
Why not just rinse with water? Its neutral and would wash away the acid anyways? I don't see the benefit in it necessarily. I was just wondering why it was recommended cause I've never prescribed/recommended it before. I actually have never heard of it before but it doesn't necessarily mean its a bad thing though.
I get them too. I rinse my mouth with Biotene Dry Mouth Oral Rinse. I know what you mean by it really hurting and leaving you with no appetite. Here is some info I pulled for you that may help:

Albuterol created a vocal cord problem. Now been put on Flovent Diskus 100mgc and continue the Albuterol. Question, do the Flovent and Advair have the fluticasone propionate ingredient in common? Tonight will be my 1st use of the Flovent.
Concerned that I may have a mitral valve problem plus the emphysema. My symptoms of attack are severe shortness of breath, high heart rate, and the immediate need to urinate. Does anyone have anything similar to this?
my pharmacist says I shouldn't be using flovent but ventolin. When I told my Dr. I was very wheezy in the a.m. and at night.....he increased my flovent to b.i.d. who am I supposed to believe????? Also, why not...

I have been constantly hacking up phlegm and mucous for 4 yrs. now and it is a very debilitating problem for me and has greatly reduced the quality of my life. I used to smoke a lot of marijuana to help cope with my social anxiety issues but the problem is I was born with asthma. This obviously did not make for a good combination.
I am taking Flovent, Spiriva and ProAir. Since I've been on the medication I've been Dxed with idiopathic neuropathy, cervical radiculopathy, carpel tunnel. I also have other entrapment symptoms, ulnar ,and I think in my legs as well.
Sometimes I get a burst of nerve pain in my arms and legs a few minutes after using the Flovent and it also causes some tendon swelling. I've shown over and over that I have less pain on lower doses of meds.
Does anyone get a racing heart from taking flovent, or has expienced dizzeness, short of breath and lots of headaches?
Professional in the field. Do not use mouth wash right away wait about a week and stick with warm salt water rinse. The warm salt water rinse the salt water promotes healing of the gingival tissue. Mouth wash can be to harsh. And yes you should still brush you want to keep your mouth as free from bacteria as you can during healing. Food in between teeth, flossing. Always floss.
I brush my teeth if I get a funky taste in my mouth. I don't know if that helps at all.
I am 36 and diagnosed with asthma in 1999. Since then, I have used Flovent 4 times daily and my weight increased rapidly; I have gone up 8 sizes and I exercise daily. Two or three years ago, I started experiencing edema in my feet and I soon developed an underactive thyroid. I experienced bipolar-like mood swings and the edema increased. I went to three different endos who were not very helpful.
