You can pick out the routine that you want to work on or do them all. Avatar n tn My right arm was normal with no decreased flexibility. There was no pain, and I just figured the problem with the left arm was reduced flexibility due to aging. Then about 4-5 months ago, I noticed that the range of motion had reduced even more. Maybe a few more inches. Still no real pain. This basically only affected the ability to reach behind my back and wash it in the shower. Up until that time, it never entered my mind that something could be wrong with my shoulder/upper arm.

Stretch the front of your leg in a standing position by bending your knee and raising your foot up toward your backside. Grasp the ankle with your hand to enhance the stretch. Stretch the back of your legs in a seated position with your legs extended on the floor. Fold forward over your straight legs to stretch your hamstrings.

Standing on a vibration platform can improve flexibility and mobility, and many people have reported relief from foot problems. Hope that helps!
Avatar n tn I currently have restricted range of motion in my left and right upper arms. This has been a slowly worsening condition that has been progressing for perhaps 6-10 months. Please note that when I first noticed a diminished range of motion it was so minor with no pain that I didn’t even know at the time that something was wrong and figured it was just a result of losing flexibility as I aged.
Avatar n tn Hey, There are loads of toning exercises that can target that area (however cardio will not target a specific area, it will make you lose weight all over). Well since the hips don't actually move, you have to tone all the areas around it, do lots of core, lower abb, and butt exercises. The best cardio for hips is probably skipping (jump rope), if you must do cardio. Try belly dancing!
Avatar f tn t invest the cash, do planks and pushups for your upper body, lunges and squats for your lower body, and crunches such as the bicycle crunch and reverse crunch for your core. Stick to your schedule and you'll find that even in 30 minutes a day, you'll start to slim down and feel better.
Avatar m tn The doctor determined it was my weight lifting and push ups, not the running that caused clavicular pinch. Two doctors told me to never to upper body exercises even though the re-implanted using the cervical vein rather than the sub-clavian artery. Would it be OK to do isometric exercises that don't involve repetitions? I'm am wondering about holding the push up position for increasing lengths of time, for instance. Any other suggestions for keeping muscle tone in the upper body?
Avatar f tn Lift your left leg and support your body weight on your right leg. Lower your upper body by bending over while supporting your body on your right leg. Continue bending forward on one leg until you can touch the ground with your fingertips. Your right leg should swing behind your body to act as a counterbalance to your torso bending forward. Return to the starting position using a slow and controlled motion and repeat for an equal number of repetitions with each leg.

I stretch my calves walking backwards, upper body leaning forward (note i'm still holding onto the bench lol) heels on the ground. If you need your entire upper body can be supported by the bench if your chest is kept close, arms flat. When i want to include my arms i do the above but my chest is as far away from the bench as my arm length can go, my arm strength is holding me up.

He focused only on my spine and said my movement was very limited for a 27 year old.
