i just want to ask if there some side effects of the medicine that i am taking, fexofenadine?? another thing is for 1 week now my hives just gone, is there a possibility it will appear again?

You only need to take one Fexofenadine for the whole day, which is useful. Clarityn is another non-sedating antihistamine that you only need to take once a day.

ALLEGRA (fexofenadine hydrochloride) should not be taken with antacids or fruit juices as it leads to decreased absorption. It can also interact with erythromycin and ketoconazole. This interactions could alter its absorption status. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Hello, I am a person that has HSV, but along with that came a skin condition called Erythema Multiforme. It is basically a terrible rash that I get whenever I have an outbreak. My outbreaks are caused by hormone issues related to my monthly period as well as a thyroid condition that I have. When my hormones are out of whack, I can usually count on this rash coming out. Does anyone else have this condition? I take acyclovir, but it doesn't really seem to be doing the trick.

Hello, I'm a 23 year old male. Since mid July 2010 I've been having some shortness of breath and dry cough with very little mucus coming out. When the mucus comes out it's clear and in small amount. Initially this problem started after I was out with a few friends smoked hookah. The hookah pipe was dirty and I remember spitting black stuff out from the pipe and then I stopped smoking. I don't smoke normally at all and even hookah once every 3 or 4 months.

I have scabs all over my body which are itchy. The itch is intense and even more so when I rub the skin. The skin gets red around the scabs at the end of the day. Taking a shower is an ordeal. It's really hard not to scratch and so I just rub the scabs but there's no relief. They are spreading and there's nothing working. I mean the creams against itchiness work when I apply them but the scabs are not getting less itchy nor less small afterwards.

Hello, my upper lid of the left eye has been swollen for the past 2-3 years. I went to numerous eye doctors they all prescribed me eye drops from allergy, but the swelling never went away. Sometimes I don't feel like it is swollen, although it is, and sometimes I feel pressure on my eye. There is no bumps and my eye is not red. Is there anytihng you can suggest?

Hello, Such a rash which appears all of a sudden is mostly due to allergies or viral rashes. It can be due to drug allergy reaction to Cymbalta. You need to take antihistaminics like benadryl or Claritin. Longer-acting antihistamines are available by prescription. They cause less drowsiness and can work just as well. These medications include fexofenadine and cetirizine. But they should always be taken under medical supervision. Moreover you may try calamine lotion on the rash.
