I had a miscarriage in the 8th week (dec 16) but i came to know only on10th jan 09 that the development of fetal has stopped since 16th dec08. And i went for abortion only on 11th Jan09 I During these 8 weeks i had problem of spotting and bleeding falling after every 4-5 days.
Now after abortion i am having pain in the right ovary and connecting oviduct. Is it a normal pain after abortion?. I doubt if i had not caught any infection.

I can tell you, From experience that a baby's heart is fully developed by week 18, which is why doctors do fetal echos between 18-24 weeks, it's the soonest they can visualize the heart without the bones getting in the way or "shadowing" it, and also the latest for them to detect holes and other issues.
There are many cases when a baby has a hole or two early on and as the baby grows and the heart continues to grow the holes close or get smaller on their own.

We did our second ultrasound at 7 week 2 days lmp but usg showed 5 week 4 days and again we did it on 9 week 1 day when it showed 5 week 2 days with no heart beat and no fetal pole. What they have found is that it takes 7+ alcoholic drinks A DAY to show an effect on fetal development. If these women are admitting to 7, imagine how much they are really drinking. I do not drink when I am pregnant, because I enjoy drinking a lot, not just a little lol. I'd rather just have none. I know many many women, who are extremely well educated, one who had 5 kids, who will have a Margarita or a few drinks while pregnant. I really don't judge them at all.
The baby only measured 1cm which from my research isnt as big as most are this far long however Im not panicking about that as Ive been told all fetal development is different. Ive also taken some comfort in how nauseated ive been which to me is a good sign, but not so fun! So as of now I am relaxed and excited!!

I am 30 years old, and I am in my week 10th. Nevertheless the baby looks as if 6.5. I had two blood tests to detect the hCG levels last week: on Monday it was 37,666 on Thurs it was 42,846; also the baby looks to have grown a bit in the between but there is not heart bit yet. The doctor is worried and I am WORRIED; he said this might lead to an abortion. The first doctor I went to suggested abortion immediately, the other asked me to wait a bit more.
Since you saw the fetal pole, it would be best to have a scan after 1 week to look for heartbeat, but it should be a transvaginal(internal scan).
One thing which I would suggest is.. do call your doctor and ask him about the possibility of having a low progesterone since the yolk sac was not seen.
In my case, the doctor put me on 400 mg of progesterone supplements for vaginal use.
It was discontinued after 12 weeks were over.
