Avatar f tn One of my friends had the due date for her first changed multiple times. I think it ended up at least 1 1/2-2 months earlier than going by lmp and baby was full term in development.
Avatar f tn My 14 month old boy was a preemie by 1 month. He is not walking yet and only babbles mama and dada. Also, when he gets excited, he bites the back of his hand very hard and throws his head forward. Although we can stop him from doing this if we intervene right away, it looks weird! Are these biting episodes and lack of walking and talking a sign of something wrong? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn 6 months is usually an age where your son would be seen by his pediatrician. You should bring up your concerns at the pediatric visit so that his doctor can evaluate him for any signs of developmental delay. Babies can have a range of development that can still be within the normal range, but your pediatrician will have a better idea of how your son is doing after a complete physical examination.
Avatar n tn My infant boy began having Myclonic Jerks (right shoulder lifting to meet right ear, his head tilts slightly as well) at 5.5 months of age, or at least this is when I began to notice them. I brought him to my family doc for a peek, and of course, DS didn't "jerk" while there. I then video-taped my child "jerking" and returned to his office 2 weeks later. My family doc told me that he is having "Myclonic Jerks" and I am now referred to a Ped.
Avatar f tn what month do the baby move up in your tummy like I can only feel the baby Way at da bottom I will be 15weeks tomorrow
Avatar f tn It's definitely better to go by weeks. If people ask just politely tell them weeks is more accurate and how many weeks you are.
Avatar f tn I was Watching a video on fetal development and I finally felt my baby actually kick as apposes to just movement. It was so strong it scared me Haha. Have felt a few more sense. I'm too happy!
Avatar n tn My 10 month old just started this weird shiver that has me freaked out. He does it several times a day and very randomly. He is teething and has reflux that I can hear daily. He is constantly swallowing. I just want to make sure these arent seizures. He sometimes has a couple of them in a row but I can always get him to stop by talking to him. Could reflux make him do this? Is it the teething? The last two videos show it the best. The second one shows it at the end of the video.
Avatar m tn My daughter, will be 2 in a week and I am worried about here development. Initially she was great.. walked @ 11 months could tell body parts i.e. nose, mouth, ears etc. now she only sometime responds to her name.. only has about 20/30 words (cannot use 2 together mind) When I try to say a word she will look @ my mouth and try to copy me.. She sometimes tip toes around the house (not often)..she will laugh for no apparent reason. When she is with other kids...
Avatar f tn I can tell you, From experience that a baby's heart is fully developed by week 18, which is why doctors do fetal echos between 18-24 weeks, it's the soonest they can visualize the heart without the bones getting in the way or "shadowing" it, and also the latest for them to detect holes and other issues. There are many cases when a baby has a hole or two early on and as the baby grows and the heart continues to grow the holes close or get smaller on their own.
Avatar f tn are you nervous any? i wasnt but then i watched a vaginal delivery video the other day. (which i do NOT recommend) ignorance was def bliss. lol!
Avatar n tn At this point, I would recommend that you be seen by a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in fetal cardiology and have a fetal echocardiogram. That way, you can be assured of the complete diagnosis. With this, not only is the VSD evaluated, but also any other potential associated defects can be found.
2139403 tn?1339437937 so another month of waiting... ughh.. the only reason why i am getting in the 17th is there was a canceled appointment. if that wasnt open, it would be like the 28th of july! insane! the only good thing is we were able to hear our baby's heartbeat. it was strong in the 150s. I feel so bad though since my boyfriend lost money today to go with me. He cant be taking off whenever he wants since money is very tight. now the 17th he has to take off and his boss is complaining.
Avatar f tn I have a 9 month old Son. He has never slept though the night and he often wakes up 1 to 2 times a night. Usually if he wakes up more on the 3rd wake up I bring him in the bed with me. ( I work full-time) and I am usually exhausted by this time. I have noticed that he flips, flops, kicks, slaps, moves up and down, side-ways. He acts as if he can't get comfortable and I have a video monitor and have watched him in his crib doing the same thing and usually wakes himself up.
Avatar f tn I personally think it's selfish and foolish to drink during pregnancy. Your putting your baby's health at risk and fetal development during the first trimester is crucial. Any alcohol use during pregnancy can result in a child being born with FASD. To me it's not worth the risks.
11515243 tn?1427129031 Did anyone else hear about the woman in Colorado who was 7 months pregnant and responded to a Craigslist add by herself and a woman cut out her baby the baby died and that this woman is being charged with nothing at all. This had me in tears how does this make you ladies feel?
Avatar f tn The question is whether he is displaying delays in other aeas of his development (motor, social, emotional, cogniitve). The fact that his speech/language is not growing in spite of the intervention does invite concern. It would be wise to have him evaluated by a team of developmental specialists so that you gain an accurate pucture of his developmental status.
Avatar f tn To all you gals out there who were undetected at their 6 month post pcr, would you share your ast alt results please. I keep reading that the upper limit for alt for women is 19 IU/ml. I will have my 6 month test done at the end of May and my alt at 14 weeks post had climbed to 20 IU/mlfrom 13 IU/ml 4 weeks post. Just curious to see what others have at 6 months post. Thanks.
Avatar m tn the cavum vergae followed by the cavum septum pellucidum. Cavum septum pellucidum is a normal variant. Because it is filled with CSF, CSP is also sometimes referred to as the fifth ventricle; however, the most common type of CSP is not connected to the ventricular system, and the use of this term to refer to CSP should be discouraged. " So, if I am reading the medspeak correctly, it can be a normal variation - and if you read up further, it may have been there since birth.
Avatar f tn Ask about being on progesterone your levels shouldn't drop they should be rising progesterone helps with that it's good for all around fetal development and it strengthens your uterus and cervix ask about it right away to see if that is an option for you good luck mama
Avatar f tn No its not especially in the first trimester. Rapid development of babies major organs, brain and spinal cord happen in the first trimester. I hear some women have a small glass while pregnant personally I wouldnt but if you were to you should wait at least until the middle of the second trimester. Ask your doctor. It is currently not recommended that any alcohol be taken in while pregnant since FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) is not completely understood on when and how it all happens.
