I am over the moon excited that DH got a 5-10 day appointment at Mayo Clinic - Dec. 10. Anyone have any experiences on what to expect etc?

I guess maybe someone could give me a better understanding but as far as i know in a true blighted ovum the yolk doesnt even appear? so the fact that you first couldnt see a yolk and now you can i would still take as a positive at this point... Just curious are you 4 weeks 4 days based on your first day of your last period? im just wondering because usually the gestational sac can be seen at approx 5 weeks, the yolk sac appears at approx. 5.5-6 weeks, fetal pole is around the 5.5 -6.

m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I got a phone call today from my family doctor, he discussed my case with the Director at the clinic (we are military so they do this ) and the director has decided to bypass the MS specialist here in town and send me directly to the Mayo Clinic in FL on the 1st of February. I am really nervous, but I have heard good things about Dr Shuster there, so I am hopeful for answers. So wish me luck and hopefully I will have some kind of news when I return!

Hi, I was on Prednisone for the month of January 08 prior to going to the Mayo Clinic - needless to say I was doing much better by the time my appointment came at Mayo in February, so they didn't see me "at my worse." I had a difficult time expressing just how bad I was in Dec. , Jan. - but had everything down on my timeline. My opinion is to take the Prednisone if it is causing discomfort, but make sure you take pictures of the rash now.
