Most people will test accurately for HIV after 6 weeks have passed since their last risk. In very rare cases where a person has a highly compromised immune system, such as those in which a person has recently undergone chemotherapy or an organ transplant, it may take 3-6 months for their body to develop enough antibodies to test positive.
I personally think it's selfish and foolish to drink during pregnancy. Your putting your baby's health at risk and fetal development during the first trimester is crucial. Any alcohol use during pregnancy can result in a child being born with FASD. To me it's not worth the risks.
m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? Went to ER last night for cramping, stomach pains and back pain.. I thought for sure that I was miscarrying but it turned out that I had a UTI. They put me on antibiotics and sent me home. My hcg level on monday was 5000 and when they took it at the hospital it was 21000. I thought it should have been higher.. Then also did a transvaginal ultra sound and saw a sac that measured 5 weeks and 5 days and the yolk sac was 1mm..

They do not have any long term studies to show the effects on fetal development. My current dr says the same thing, when pg stay clear of it as possible.

Yes, that is too early to see a fetal pole or cardiac activity. In ten days, you should see a nice change with development of a little "grain of rice" with a tiny flickering heart beat. I wish you the best!
The test which is done after 6 weeks for most of people is conclusive and definitive as Massachusetts Center .

The most common cause of a fetal heart rate irregularity is premature atrial contractions (PACs) that arise from the baby's upper heart chamber and are usually benign. You should avoid caffeine and stimulants and keep well hydrated. If they persist, your doctor will likely refer you to a pediatric cardiologist for a fetal echocardiogram to document the arrhythmia. In most cases, these self resolve.
If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
