You go by the medical way of counting. I even have a book that says things like (in big letters) Sixth week and then in little letters (Fourth week since conception). All the milestones for a developing embryo are listed using the medical way of timing a pregnancy.
She is a very happy, playful, and loving baby who is meeting all of her milestones. I have seen this exact behavior before with a friends child who does have developmental delays. Of course now I am concerned. Any info would be helpful!

yesterday and she said occasionallly its fine...its the everyday drinking that could lead to issues such as fetal alcohol syndome...im 24 weeks will try a glass this weekend for a friend birthday an then not again for a while...my fiance is not too excited about it but...after the dr. Said its fine..im fine!!!

Just came back from having another ultrasound about an hour ago, what a difference a few days can make .They found a fetal pole and the heartbeat which is very reassuring. I can't believe it because on Friday they couldn't see anything and today there it was, clearly obvious. The u/s technician told me that once they detect a fetal pole and heartbeat there is a 80-90% chance of the pregnancy continuing as a viable one (fingers crossed). would that be right do you think?.
Most of the language development milestones I read suggest he could be using more two-word sentences by now. His doctor saw him at 18 months and was not concerned with his development. We don't see the doctor for a well visit between 18 months and 2 years. I should also point out, his word understanding is excellent. I can ask him to get his shoes from the front hall, sit in his eating chair, get his pyjamas from the closet, etc., and he happily complies consistently.
Head circumference, weight and length are measurements that doctors put on growth charts up until the age of 36 months. The baby only measured 1cm which from my research isnt as big as most are this far long however Im not panicking about that as Ive been told all fetal development is different. Ive also taken some comfort in how nauseated ive been which to me is a good sign, but not so fun! So as of now I am relaxed and excited!!
If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
