Common Questions and Answers about Fetal development kicking

fetal-development

Avatar f tn The fetal heart undergoes a considerable amount of growth very early in pregnancy. The most critical period of its development is between three and seven weeks after fertilization, when a simple heart tube assumes the shape of a four-chambered heart. In fact, the heart actually begins beating by the 22nd day of life.
Avatar f tn I was Watching a video on fetal development and I finally felt my baby actually kick as apposes to just movement. It was so strong it scared me Haha. Have felt a few more sense. I'm too happy!
Avatar f tn m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Avatar f tn Your Baby is still in the early stages of fetal development, & his or her bones/muscles are not strong enough to be noticeable quite yet. I thought maybe i had felt some around this time to but, turns out it was my own heart beating in my belly due to extra blood flow. I hate to sound discouraging :( You will however feel them between 18-20 weeks if you are a first time mom so, you really don't have to wait much longer!! The feeling is unmistakable :) hope this helps, goodluck!
Avatar f tn Not necessarily, my little one is constantly moving and I feel it on my belly. I'm 32 weeks and when I went for fetal monitoring Friday her head was facing my spine. To us it seems awfully uncomfortable, like how can their head be facing the spine yet they are kicking away up front.
Avatar f tn Went to do my 10 week aultrasound wensday and my baby was moving around kicking Nd I know it's small and I can't feel it is it normal to be kicking and moving so actively ?
Avatar f tn My movements seemed to slow down tonight my baby isn't kicking she normally does at night Ive felt tiny little movement but no strong kicks i am 26 weeks should I be worried ?
Avatar f tn im worried. Is that normal? Im 6months today.
Avatar f tn The baby only measured 1cm which from my research isnt as big as most are this far long however Im not panicking about that as Ive been told all fetal development is different. Ive also taken some comfort in how nauseated ive been which to me is a good sign, but not so fun! So as of now I am relaxed and excited!!
Avatar n tn I'm almost 32 weeks, and experiencing the same as you. I went to my last OB appointment and I told him I was sure the baby was breech because he was always kicking by my pelvic area and he said the baby's legs are so scrunched he can't really kick anymore, occasionally I'll feel kicking, but that's about it. Also I feel his butt move back and forth between my ribs, but he said it's normal not to feel kicking when their legs are scrunched up like that.
Avatar f tn if you think there is a prob ask your dr...
Avatar n tn If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
Avatar f tn 20 mm Fetal heart rate: 164 bpm, the other one is 33,7 X 18,4 Fetal length: 16,7 mm Yolk Sac: 5,9 mm Fetal heart rate: 166 bpm Also embryon1 age is 10w3d but embryon 2 is 9w2d. I'm very concerned. Are those differences ok? The next ultrasound is in 10 days and the wait is killing me.
Avatar m tn There is no safe amount of alcohol you can drink. Fetal brain development damage can occur with just one drink.
1804538 tn?1330810548 If you were using a fetal monitor, you should also have been hearing a heartbeat. Many things can mimic fetal kicking and/or the sound. I would definitely call your doctor and tell them your suspicions and say you want an ultrasound and/or a beta test to find out your hCG levels.
