1431138 tn?1294566894 s a machine now that can tell as early as 12 weeks but most doctors will wait until later on in the second trimester to see.
Avatar n tn Exactly what the other person said. Right now, you're technically 4 weeks, but in reality, baby has only been growing for 2 weeks. Still super tiny. You won't see anything until week 7/8. I don't know why they even scheduled your first appointment that early, to be honest. If they were going off your lap, they shouldn't have made an appointment until sometime next month.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear this. I had never heard of this and did some research. This is what I found. Hope it helps and prayers for you && the little one :) CPCs can form within this structure and come from fluid trapped within this spongy layer of cells, much like a soap bubble or a blister. CPCs are often called "soft signs" or fetal ultrasound "markers" because some studies have found a weak association between CPCs and fetal chromosome abnormalities.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Avatar f tn I agree with Darkestlight. There are a lot of different options. One possibility is that these are "Choroid plexus cysts" which can be part of normal fetal brain development and often disappear spontaneously before 32 weeks gestation. Other types of cysts can be markers for other conditions. Does your daughter have a follow-up with a specialist?
Avatar n tn If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
Avatar f tn In other words, if the embryo is 10 weeks 3 days (did the doctor say this or did you compute it from the size?) why would the pregnancy only be in its 8th week?
Avatar n tn I went in today for an U/S (I think I'm a little less than 6 weeks pregnant). We saw one sac and a likely fetal pole and "fluttering" heartbeat. No problem, except for the fact that my HCG was over 1800 almost a week ago. It rose very quickly (from 125 five days earlier). The doctor was concerned because what he saw (although it matched expected gestational age) did not match the HCG levels that I must be at now.
8171562 tn?1408628833 Prayers and good juju! I am in the exact same place! 22 wks and going for fetal echo tomorrow. So far everything has been perfect, so fingers crossed!
Avatar n tn Did they give you a percentile? My baby was in the 25 percentile at 36 weeks, she was taken out at 37wks1day and is perfectly fine (was small at birth 5lbs12.5oz) but seems normal otherwise.
Avatar f tn I'm 22 weeks, this is my 4th pregnancy...2nd baby to make it past 8 weeks. Doctors where I live don't recommend u/s before 10 weeks to detect heartbeat because they are not accurate enough.good luck...
Avatar f tn Actually my first due date was given to me very early in my preg . I beleive I was 3 weeks . Then my last ultrasound was at the begining of july that one gave me the due date of the 15 of august. I just leave it all to God and let him show off when he is ready, lol.
Avatar f tn ve since than taken about ten of them in two weeks for back pain. Two every other day out so as needed. And I was wondering if it can hurt the baby in any way??.
