fetal death. This is called hemolytic disease. Fortunately, Rh sensitization is preventable with a medicine called Rh immunoglobulin (RhIg, or Rhogamâ„¢.) Since the development of RhIg, in 1968, we have seen fewer and fewer mothers who are Rh sensitized.
