Exelon is the only patch. There are medications that can be taken by mouth. I work at a health care facility and we continue to get the patches. Have you checked with other pharmacies?
Often she has had angry outbursts over the past few years also, has been afraid of descending stairways, falling, and dark places. Mother is in her late 90s now, but this has been going on for over 10 years.
Recently she went to see a neurologist who took a blood test and ordered a brain scan. THis doctor told her that her brain is shrinking and that she does not have Alzheimer's disease. However, he prescribed Aricept for her to take.
My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?

There is a chance that your father suffers from both insomnia and oversleeping. The first night he has a disturbed sleep , hence he sleeps over the next day.

My wife aged seventy, has had a persistent nausea problem since about February 2008. She wakes up in the morning and feels fine...until she starts to move around. The nausea stays with her until she has some food and liquid in her stomach. Many times, it subsides, but comes back when she moves around again. All her tests EGD, Cat Scan, MRI, etc turn out normal. Hida Scan showed her gall bladder to be very small and only 10% operative, so she had it removed about two months ago.
Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.
Does anybody else have a square belly? Lol....like not the usual round one you see most pregnant women with?? When I stand up my belly looks like a cone ha ha best way I can describe it...then when I'm sitting it looks almost square like..

The Shoe Bomber and the guy, who tried to set himself on fire in mid-flight, will not go down in the history books as “The Sharpest Knives in the Drawer.” Let’s just hope that the 911 call was a hoax and there is not a non-sophisticated bomb out there that didn’t explode and could go off at anytime.
The patch of blood on it was equivalent to something like a 1/2 inch square to 3/4 inch square (out of the whole stool). There was no visible blood on any other part of the stool (which makes me think the first larger stool may have tore some tissue and caused blood to come out on the last piece?). I have had no other symptoms of cramping etc.
His living will states he does not want to be on life support and we are left to figure out what quesiton to ask in order to abide by his wishes. One doc has already told us that if his brain does not "turn on" within the next month it is much less likely it will. He has been transfered to a long term care facility. What questions should we be asking?
