Avatar f tn Epinephrine is relatively contraindicated in hyperthyroidism as the vascular effects of epinephrine can worsen this condition. A hyperthyroid patient may be more sensitive to the catecholamines and thyrotoxic or cardiotoxic symptoms can occur. Epinephrine is also relatively contraindicated in hypertension due to the risk of worsening this condition. Both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause hypertension.
Avatar n tn m wondering with my heart problem how dangerous is it to get a dose of epinephrine and how will that affect my heart? I had an epinephrine dose in the early nineties due to a breathing problem, but that was before I was diagnosed with the mvp and atrial misfire.
Avatar n tn Animal studies have revealed evidence of teratogenicity when epinephrine was given in doses approximately 25 times the usual recommended human dose (on a per kg basis). There are no reports of teratogenicity in humans. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Epinephrine is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
Avatar f tn Do these drops have enough in it to maybe cause for me to have the same reaction? So far I always got eye drops without epinephrine/or something equal to epinephrine, but this last eye doctor did not want to use any drops at all. He examined my eyes without dialating them.
1047019 tn?1256719961 We DO NOT have SYNTHETIC Epinephrine in our bodies. Any drug that is synthetic has been made this way by man in a lab & it is recognized as poison/unnatural to our bodies...hence this is why it causes reactions in some. The last time I was given it I thought I would die.
4703993 tn?1379768388 During spontaneous loss of consciousness, all 4 patients had an increase in plasma epinephrine levels (mean 3.8 times baseline), and no change or a decrease in plasma norepinephrine levels (mean 0.86 times baseline), so that the plasma epinephrine:norepinephrine ratio increased substantially (5.3 times baseline).
Avatar f tn It's the epinephrine in the anesthetic that causes the racing heart, etc. Next time you're at the dentist and you need/want an anesthetic ask for one WITHOUT epinephrine. The medication generally takes a little longer to "kick in" and wears off faster, but your dentist will work with you for maximum comfort.
18334869 tn?1464084557 Lyme not a sentence! Poland is applied in the treatment Dipsacus fullonum in combination with Lathraea squamaria. Lathraea squamaria is being used by us to neurological problems which often appear from Lyme, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's diseases and many others. In practice the 90% is coming back to the health of 6-12 months. And every good herbalist it knows. Andrzej translate.
Avatar f tn I had a skin cancer removal and they used epinephrine on me twice during MOHS surgery (they leave you in the office for a couple hours while the biopsy goes to pathology), then shoot you with epinephrine again. Well.......my body did not like it and I had a major problem, lost consciousness, etc. Maybe it has it do with the heart? This was not an experience I EVER want to go thru again.
1305767 tn?1361192676 t bad this time because they gave me nitrous but I learned they put epinephrine in the local anesthetic shots (it has something to do with helping the anesthetic last longer) So I'm thinking the epinephrine sends my anxiety level from like a six to a ten. Last November I had a tooth pulled and while the dentist was injecting the shot my heart rate got so high I almost passed out. They put a monitor on my finger and it was about 150! That is just crazy.
Avatar n tn I hope it's not a death sentence! I am a genotype 1a grade 3 stage 3/4. By 26 weeks I still hadn't reached undetectable, so 3 diferent Dr.s in 3 different hospitals said STOP treatment. And I did back in November. I was on weekly doses of procrit too. Well today I am feeling 98% better. I also have NASH. I know this is a silent disease, but worrying about it will not make it better.
Avatar f tn I had my Gallbladder remove on April 24 2011. I had been having pain in the stomach area at least a year before. The surgeon said he did not find anything, so he checked my gallbladder and found stones. I expected to have pain from the surgery, but not experience pain all the time..I went to my doctor this week, and he said the pain could last up to a year or more. It hurts all the time, but if I eat any food or take any medication I can feel the pain as soon as I swallow.
1000946 tn?1253807847 When I called in this time the dr told me to see a lung specialist to get a breathing test so that they have some information on my breathing. When they told me I had this, I asked do I need a specialist and they said no, not til you have symptoms....ugh.
Avatar m tn I had a terrible experience today. In a simple dental procedure, I had what I can only describe as a seizure after getting what was supposed to be lidocaine and epinephrine injection. The area never got numb, and the pain from the point of the needle each time they attempted to inject me was painful. I was taken to the ER and released after 8 hours with no explanation. I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong?
Avatar f tn Sounds like hormone shifts causing the mood swings and especially anxiety attacks. Seems we get adrenaline or epinephrine pushes without a quick nor epinephrine response due to hormone changes. I'm been through it. Doctors were no help at first, then I was medicated with a Beta blocker for an entirely different problem (blood pressure and heart rate issues) and wow.....
1817071 tn?1366228243 All of a sudden, my rate in 100 with erratic heart beat. Can I really be in afib with a heart rate of 100?
Avatar m tn No it's not a death sentence! I got Covid in early 2020. The original version before all the mutations. I was 66 years old when I got it and I suffer from migraine and IBS with some heart arrythmias. None of those conditions are life threatening though, I admit. But basically I wasn't feeling too great before I got Covid. I got an intense feeling of being unwell at first (slight nausea.
479957 tn?1270411105 Since no doctor has even suggested a diagnosies, let alone a cure, we (desperate family) are taking matters in our own hands and shopping for a procedure. This is the story in a very, very tiny nutshell. The suffering at the hands of med science is another story we could write. They seem to think that suffering won't kill you so why inconvience the office or hospital routine, not to mention the insurence co's.
Avatar f tn When I called the office they told me it was probably not the lidocaine but instead was a reaction to the epinephrine. It landed me in the ER that night and since that single incident, I've tried to stay away from both. Incidentally, after my ablation for a-fib 15 mo. ago, I've started having short tachycardia episodes (10-30 min) and my EP has told me to take a "beta-blocker in a pocket" and it has, thank God, helped to shorten the episodes.
Avatar f tn Bear in mind that a lot of what you read on the internet is written by people who are not satisfied with their treatment and are not textbook cases (virtually all of us on this forum). People who have good doctors and take their pill once a day and feel well don't get on forums to brag about how great they feel. I have Hashi's, too. I think you're overreacting.
