Avatar f tn I have some ondansetron 8mg for vomiting for me what would be the dosage for a dog that has terrible motion sickness in car
Avatar f tn I had to get stitches last night, and was given 5-6 shots of epinephrine and lidocane. I told the intake nurse I was taking synthroid (which I presume implies thyroid problems). I felt a little "unusual" afterward (pounding heart, feeling calm and detached..), and was googling the side effects of the shot.. an article said this: "Additionally, epinephrine and lidocaine usually aren’t used in patients with thyroid disease, or disease of the kidneys or liver.
Avatar n tn My pet spaniel has been put on lasix for his heart condition. My question is, is there a minimum dosage that's effective yet reduces the amount of water intake and his frequent urination. His quality of life and ours is very difficult right now as he must be taken out frequently. He is approximately 20 lbs.
Avatar n tn As far as I'm aware, benadry is safe for quite a long time in dogs. The general doggy dosage is 1 mg/ per pound, so that's what your vet has prescribed - most people tend to go too low on the dosage. Using it for only the summer months should be no problem at all. I had a dog who needed it a good 8 months or more of every year and it never caused any trouble. Hope it works well for your Bostie!

Avatar n tn I had a 2nd trimester miscarriage the day that I had a mole removed at my dermatologist. They used Epinephrine and Xylocaine and when we received the autopsy report it revealed that my baby was perfectly normal and healthy without chromosonal issues prior to him dieing in my womb that day. Has anyone experienced this or known anyone who has? I researched on the web and found many warnings about pregnant women receiving Lidocaine from the dentist but not what they gave me.

Avatar f tn So far I always got eye drops without epinephrine/or something equal to epinephrine, but this last eye doctor did not want to use any drops at all. He examined my eyes without dialating them.
Avatar m tn Hi, It is a serotonin and nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. The name of the neurotransmitter is nor epinephrine it is different from epinephrine. Most of the side effects occur during the period when one is taking the medication. But the important thing to remember is to follow the doctors instructions carefully. To reduce the incidence of side effects it is always started with a low dose and then it is gradually increased.
Avatar f tn Can anyone here tell me if ms has any effect on either of the hormones epinephrine or norepinephrine?
Avatar f tn Determining a dosage of tramadol for dogs is an exercise in futility. As with people, if the dog has a history of seizures it is important to let your vet know this, and they will likely tell you about alternatives. While the dosage amounts vary from dog to dog, the tramadol dosage for dogs can be put into effect by using the dog’s weight as the determinant. The usual range is .5 - 1.8mg per pound.
9214378 tn?1408881584 Therefore, it’s probably cheaper to buy regular human CoQ10 supplements rather than those marketed just for dogs (because CoQ10 for dogs will probably cost more). But since dogs need less, just make sure you buy low dosage supplements. You may even want to consider liquid CoQ10 so you can customize your dogs dosage exactly. I know a couple people who opt for liquid CoQ10 for that reason." I will check out the liquid form and give recommended dose!
Avatar m tn Hi there, Vitamin B6 vitamin plays an essential role in the creation of serotonin, nor epinephrine and dopamine. These brain neurotransmitters are important for regulating our mental balance, mood etc.Defficiency of this vitamin leads to a decrease in the neurotransmitter formation and functioning which in turn can cause depression. A person should consume vitamin B6 as per his daily requirement.Potatoes, spinach, banana, walnuts and fortified cereals are the main sources of Vitamin B6.
Avatar n tn Hi there- I have the same thing going on- I can see my pulse - it is very strong-it moves both breasts and shakes my stomach, this started 3 yrs ago-Dr said it was anxiety and upped my xanax dosage. But I think this came from Levaquin (an antibiotic). It is very scary to me-had 2 echoes, holter monitor, event monitor,3-4 ekgs,an an aortic ultrasound.Everything came back normal.I was on 4 mg of xanax a day and still saw the heartbeat-sooooo,not anxiety.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure about the molasses, but the dose for coconut oil (Organic) is 1 tsp. per 10lbs. Start with a low dose and work up to that... I know that molasses is used for it's Vitamin/Trace Mineral Content, but not sure about anti-inflammatory properties.... If your 14 yr. old is really suffering, your Vet should prescribe Medication for Arthrititis....These natural remedies (Listed above) take a few weeks to get in the system....Then the Vet meds. can be cut down...Good luck....
Avatar n tn Hello I agree with deadgamegrll. I would not recommend taking him off the medications without consulting the Vet because abruptly stopping any medications can be detrimental to his health. It does sound like he is on too high of a dosage. I'm sure examination and testing by his Vet will give the information needed to get his dosage regulated properly.
Avatar f tn For sure. Cats are at least 10 times smaller than a SMALL adult human female. What is given to us is too much for such a small animal. For example: The amount of Zyrtec I was told to give to Akira is only 1/4 of the adult human dosage. This is much smaller than the children's dosage, which is 1/2 of the adult human dosage. I would never ever give medications to Akira without her first seeing her doctor. I do know that no one should ever give Tylenol to their pets.
Avatar m tn I am not sure of the dosage. I'm sure you could call your Vet and ask for a good brand and dosage.
Avatar n tn t really see it can be used in dogs, much less the dosage, but it can cause a variety of side effects. I wouldn't try that on my own.
612551 tn?1450022175 Thanks, the product I found locally was at Tractor Supply and the ProBio was not in the dog/cat section, it was in the horse section. But the container lists dosage for dogs as already noted in my post. Sorry to repeat. I believe this product is a powder. I have also ordered from a Web based pet pharmacy a bag of ProBio treats. I have no past experience with ProBio but I have received several recommendations to give it a try as I continue to fight Yeast problems in our rescue Westie.

Avatar f tn I think Milk Thistle is available for dogs, but if not, a Glycerin Tincture or a tablet will do. The dosage will probably be for an average human body weight. There is information on the correct dosage for dogs here: http://www.natural-dog-health-remedies.com/milk-thistle-for-dogs.html#dosages Don't over-do it, and taper the dose when results are noted from blood tests. Too much can be harmful to the liver.
