1188179 tn?1350116119 I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.
Avatar f tn d look into a urologist asap. If you are on any of the medication above ask him if Sanctura Xr might work for you. It's my miracle OAB. Back when it was in full swing if they told me I had to remove something I would have considered it. It was ruining my life and 60-70% of the day I felt like I need to urinate. Try concentrating in school when you feel like any second you could have an accident.
Avatar f tn About a 6 weeks ago I had a panic attack and my NP switched me to Xanax XR 1mg. 2 times daily and .05 if needed. I want to switch back to the Klonopin now since things are better I don't really care for the Xanax XR. I have spoke to 3 different M.D. And they tell me I can switch to 1mg. Klonopin 3 times a day and then eventually taper down. I guess now I'm scared to try it. I don't like taking medication anyway. Any advise?
Avatar f tn but it something that I really want/need to know the answer to. I seem to be passing totally undigested Venlafaxine XR (Effexor XR) pills. I managed to inspect one of the pills afterward (disgusting, I know) and the outside was tough but it was still full of a white, powdery substance. Does this mean that I'm not digesting the medication at all? What should I do?
Avatar f tn Seroquel is an anti-psychotic medication. Yes, in most people it does make them very sleepy. 14 hours a night not abnormal for someone taking Seroquel if they are sensitive to it or new to the drug. May I suggest asking your P-doc about Seroquel XR. It is an extended release formula of the drug and should be easier for you to tolerate. Many people report that after switching to the XR formula that they can take it during the day once they get used to the drug.
Avatar f tn can someone please tell that which medicine works best for OAB ........VESICARE,ENABLEX OR DETROL LA..........I m male and 29 yrs old ,can i also take detrol la.....Any response should be highly appreciated..........
541196 tn?1293552936 It's not recommended for pregnancy. I was put on Effedor XR while pregnant and breastfeeding. I'm sure there would probably be some info on what drugs are safe if you googled it. I was on Zoloft after my first bout of Post Natal Depression and was told that I had to be off that for at least six months before trying to get pregnant. But at that stage my depression wasn't as bad as it is now.
Avatar f tn Trileptal is an anticonvulsant (used as a mood stabilizer for bipolar), and Lexapro is an antidepressant called an SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor). If you are having problems with mania you might want to talk to your doctor about adding an antipsychotic. There are so many too many to list and there can be so many different combinations too. You should talk to your doctor about the specific symptoms you are having...
1925135 tn?1323307656 When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I went through several medications before I found 1 that fit me - I am a non insulin dependent diabetic .
Avatar m tn Are you on the venalfaxine controlled release capsules (Effexor XR)? Are you taking it with food? The nausea is usually at first only, but it takes about 4 weeks to dissipate for most and if it doesn't, then you should advise your prescribing doctor. Do you know why exactly you were prescribed this? There are various purposes for its use. Note that should you have an underlying low thyroid function (common with FMS), venalfaxine is contra-indicated.
Avatar n tn s replacement) is a fantastic AD medication and should perform just as well as Effexor XR. At least the clinical trials show it to be just as effective with similar side effects. What I am really watching for and waiting for is this new Valdoxan antidepressant. It's a whole completly new chemical approach to treatment resistant severe depression. It has almost NO side effects at all and in clinical trials works even better than any other modern antidepressant on the market today.
Avatar f tn On celexa, tried oxybutinin and myrbetriq. Gave me anxiety. Is enablex a good choice? Side effect of celexa was frequent urination. Eneblex only one that didn't cause anxiety, but side effects are bad. Anybody?
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.
Avatar f tn Her family doctor has placed her on the lowest dose of Effexor XR, Oxazepam, and Risperidol (as well as Levothyroxine, Calcium and various other vitamin pills). She has been on the three medications for almost two years. Many, many insignificant events and items cause her great distress. After the last surgery, she began to suffer panic attacks and is now agoraphobic. Two months ago, she started to hear "music" in her ears while sleeping causing great distress.
Avatar f tn I then took Effexor and later ther Effexor XR. Effexor XR allowed me to live a reasonably normal life raising a child and having a career. For at least 3 years my depression has slowly gotten progressively worse. My counselor and I believe it is time to add an additional medication, possibly welbutrin or change to a different antidepressant. Currently I take 300mg of effexor XR. This is the same level I have taken for the entire time I've used effexor. I would like input and advice.
Avatar f tn I'm on prescription Adderall XR and the company I work for adheres to strict drug screening process. I need to determine if I should notify my employer of the prescription. Will my adderall XR show on a drug test if I am called to take one?
Avatar f tn I took Effexor Xr 37.5 mg for a month and decided to get off the medication. I will never again take this medication. The "brain zaps" are horrible and the feelings are just as bad. I thought since I wasn't on this drug long enough that I wouldn't have side-effects, wrong! I'm also not happy with the way this drug is being marketed and the lack of mentioning of these "zaps".
Avatar n tn Your doctor knows what she is doing as this is obviously not the right medication for you. It is often trial and error as to what medication will work best for us, and this is the frustrating part. There are many other excellent choices for you that won't make you lethargic. I wish you all the best and take care.
191963 tn?1251929996 I just found out a little over a week ago that I am pregnant, I am about 5wk 4d now and I am on a couple perscription meds. One is Focalin XR and Trazodone. Are these medications harmful to the baby or will it be safe enough to continue taking until I get in to see my doctor? I stopped taking them just incase, but I am really starting to feel the effects (not withdrawls) of being off of these medications. This has been bothering me super bad since last week!
1134609 tn?1269272200 At this point, I don't know that a decrease in medication is going to be plausible. The mood swings have been rough; I cycle rapidly. And by 'rapidly', I mean throughout the space of a day..Coming off of Klonopin would be beneficial, but the withdrawals (however minor) coupled with the relapse would be murder. As I said above, I have been laid up for awhile..
1403958 tn?1300023491 I have been on Effexor XR for about 5-6 years now. It has worked for me, but i've noticed that recently it makes me emotionally blah and i've been feeling depressed too. I just think it's time to switch to something different. The withdrawl from Effexor scares me though. I am going to have to ween myself off of this and talk to my Dr. about another medication that will be helpful. Does anyone have any medication suggestions for me?
1298230 tn?1286310079 I for one cannot speak for this drug. I had an allergic reaction to it. You can see the photos I posted. For me, it took the edge of slowly but never took the pain away. I had better luck with Lyrica. Everyone is different. For many, it is a miracle drug. I hope this is the case for you! But it also depends on why you are taking it. Is it for TN or other reasons? That may make a difference. I am assuming TN since you are on this forum. And you are so young, I am so sorry!
