Avatar f tn On celexa, tried oxybutinin and myrbetriq. Gave me anxiety. Is enablex a good choice? Side effect of celexa was frequent urination. Eneblex only one that didn't cause anxiety, but side effects are bad. Anybody?
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.
Avatar f tn Hi Guys, This is my next try to help with burning and bladder and urethral spasms which are painful and sometimes cause urinary loss. After this next try is the Botox. I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has had experience with this drug and if it helped them. I know we are all different and our reactions are different, I am just hoping it works without too many side affects.
Avatar n tn A MD prescribed 2 grams of azithromycin one time for this a week ago. I also have had a previous bout of prostatitis due to Proteus (years ago). My questions are 1. What was my risk of stds (gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, NGU could happen), 2. Would this medication address the STDs and 3. Do I need a "test of cure"?
Avatar m tn Hello Doctors, I recently became sexually active with a new partner who later informed me she tested positive for HSV-2 in March 2013 after a possible date rape (type of test unknown). I previously tested negative for HSV-1/2. She does not recall any outbreaks. The sexual encounters began on or about October 27 and lasted until I was informed of her HSV status on December 24. We engaged in sex on average 2-3/weekly for the 8 weeks.
Avatar m tn Treatment for prostatitis involves antibiotic use, frequently for many weeks. It can also be very difficult to treat and some men require multiple treatments with antibiotics. NSAIDS are typically used to treat the symptoms of prostatitis but antibotics are key. Unfortunately, your situation is not uncommon. I suggest that you continue to see your urologist for treatment.
Avatar n tn Yes, I had a colonoscopy done on June 23rd. I had the STD tests done on my own on the 26th. As I said, I was on Levo for four days before I had the STD tests but would being on Levo effect a Herpes blood test? Especially considering the fact that antibiotics have no effect whatsoever on viruses?
Avatar m tn this when I had my post op Appt I never truely got an answer then I went back to her she gave me some Enablex that never truely help with the no sensation to urinate nor the having feeling when having sex can some one tell me what is going on?
Avatar m tn After still expereincing pain, hard time urinating I went for ultra sounds, cystoscopy, cat scans- major antibioitcs etc- std tests everyhting came back normal but I was diagnosed as having still prostatitis, over-active bladder- no medications have helped-still.
Avatar m tn Now 5-6 days into medication cipro seems to be helping a bit. I tried masturbation today to test the waters and now I feel worse. I really don't feel it as much the moment I wake up in the morning and it seems to be more noticeable as day progresses. My Questions: 1. Since this was a high risk encounter, should I be retested for above STDs? 2. Does this sound like Prostatitis? Or what could it be? 2a. I heard prostatitis is hard to cure is that true?
Avatar m tn Don't take Cipro!! It can really mess you up! I was on 6 week course of it for prostatitis and it really messed my nerves up. insomnia, anxiety, and numbness in my hands and feet...
Avatar m tn ) Got back home and was re-tested for STDs--all negative. My doctor suspected prostatitis and put me on Cipro. No change. Went to a urologist who put me on double-strength Bactrim. No change. Then saw another urologist who said the prostatitis wasn't caused by an infection and that's why the drugs hadn't worked. Told me the symptoms would go away and to see him again in 12 months. The symptoms have not gone away.
Avatar n tn Thanks for your response. What would you consider my options for this problem? How could I find out for sure what is causing this. Night before last, I woke up and I had started urinating and was able to stop and make it to the bathroom. This is one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. I don't want to end up wearing diapers. Again, thanks for your help!
Avatar n tn ve been reading more about this disease, and by a strange coincidence the coordinating center for the big national studies of chronic pelvic pain (including prostatitis) is in my department, right down the hall from my office. Based on their work, there is some reason to believe that, except in those cases where there is an obvious infection (with fever, discharge, etc. that I never had), prostatitis is not an infectious disease at all.
Avatar n tn Hello, From your symptoms I would like to rule out prostatitis. Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland. It can be due to chronic prostatitis without infection in your case and it can cause pain at the tip of penis. I would suggest you to consult a urologist and get this evaluated. Treatment depends on the confirmation of diagnosis. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted. Warm regards.
Avatar f tn Two days later I started to feel a burn at tip of penis, that got stronger for three following weeks. I will state for sure that my anxiety heightened just then and 8 or 9 symptoms matching prostatitis followed. Some of the symptoms were quite painful (shooting testical pain, etc). After a urethral cotton swab and two sets of urine and blood tests, this things seemed clean.
Avatar m tn Suffered from prostatitis for over 15 years, antibiotics, trips to doctors, all that I have passed, but the recovery is not received.Started to search for treatment of prostatitis.Tried everything. So I write to you because I want to help people like me.The fact that I purchased the device mavit on the website http://www.prostato.tk used it for 2 months .Plus drank antibiotic ipil Masol pumpkin teaspoon 3 times a day.
Avatar m tn Hi! I underwent urethroplasty five years ago, but didn't experience a lowered sexual drive. However, give him time for recovery, a couple of months more. Also he needs your support and understanding (my girlfriend helped me a lot with the recovery). If he had no sexual drive even before the surgery, then inflammatory issues (prostatitis) or mental condition should be also considered. He may also try Viagra or cialis to help him with getting good erection.
Avatar m tn Saw my doctor because terrible irritation in penis tip, sore testicles and having to urinate all night. No burning when I pee or discharge but significant pain at tip. Doctor did first catch urine test; neg for leuk & nitrates, said it could be prostatis so he gave me 7 days of Cipro. Had a minor surgery a few days later so did not take it. The next week it got even worse, so went to urologist. Same symptoms but worse. Dr. asked if it could be std, I told him I doubt it...
