Common Questions and Answers about Enablex and the liver

enablex

1188179 tn?1350116119 I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.
Avatar f tn On celexa, tried oxybutinin and myrbetriq. Gave me anxiety. Is enablex a good choice? Side effect of celexa was frequent urination. Eneblex only one that didn't cause anxiety, but side effects are bad. Anybody?
Avatar f tn DETROL LA should be taken once daily with liquids and swallowed whole. The dose may be lowered to 2 mg daily based on individual response and tolerability. Refer: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/tolter_ids.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.
Avatar n tn My doctor gave me Enablex and the episodes stopped. I stopped taking Enablex and the bedwetting and not making it to the bathroom happened again. The doctor started me on Vesicore and again the episodes stopped. Have you ever heard of this happening after TUMT? I had the TUMT so that I could stop taking Flomax.
Avatar f tn I just want to fix the burning feeling I have and the spasms.. oh and the incontinence would be a bonus too but that is not my major issue, well not this week anyway. I will look up Enablex, our drugs here are different from some of yours..
Avatar m tn Well if you were a guy I would say enlarged prostate gland if you had surgery and a lady then I would say you will go and run water and drink plenty of it. If you still cant go you need to go to the emergency room you may have stones blocking there.
Avatar n tn The pain is much like a urinary tract infection (a BAD one), but there are other complications and it flares and then often goes in remission. Elmiron is the only FDA approved drug to treat IC. It rebuilds the mucus layer of the bladder. I also take Enablex for frequency that is pronounced at night! If you think this sounds like you, ask to see a urologist...there are treatments that will make it better...
Avatar m tn 2 yrs ago due to the pain and risk of organs twisting. I am currently taking 1mg of estradiol and Praise God it is working for me. My bladder is fine but the endo caused issues with urythra "not sure on spelling sorry" so I have to take enablex to avoid accidents. My doc told me before surgery that this was a possibilty. If yours is saying you should be ok then chances are you will be. Every one is different so my issues or any one else's may not be the same for you.
Avatar f tn i m 29 yrs old and , i am having frequent urination problem for 3 years, about 4 months ago,i went to pcp ,he sent me for sonogram of my kidney and bladder and also for chest x-ray,the results came out negative and my urine and blood was also fine, then i went to urologist' he has done urodynamics and also looked into my bladder through scope and said that nothing is wrong with my bladder and urthera,he first gave me vesicare for a month than enablex but condition still remains the same ,then
Avatar m tn which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...
Avatar m tn In addition to the urination problem, I also have tingling in the scrotum and trouble with the head of the penis retracting inward in an uncomfortable manner. Prior to the surgery, I was totally healthy and had no urological issues. I would be very appreciative for any help. I am getting desperate!
362971 tn?1201987034 I guess what I am realy asking, which everybody missed is ---- Could my tolerating the carbs be because my Liver enzymes are normal and the Virus is undetected. Or does TX just rev up the metabolism.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm not quite sure this is the best place for this question, but here it goes. Several months ago, almost 5, I started to develop pain and tingling in my left leg. On the outside, starting at the hip and going down to the kneecap. After a few visits to the doctor and different tests he's narrowed it down to either some nerve compression in the leg itself from some benign cysts that have been there since I was a kid or from a case of sciatica.
Avatar m tn I had to rescedule to this Monday the 17 for the screening.....really busy at work...its ok tho....im still goin for it....trial starts in Oct....all is well.
Avatar n tn Tylenol is a great drug in moderation, and for brief periods of time. Also, what a lot of people don't realize is JUST how many OTC meds (ie cold meds, etc) have acetaminophen in them. It is always good to read labels before taking an OTC med and stick to the daily maximums printed on the labels...they are there for a reason. A few days of taking the max dose of tylenol in a normal average person really shouldn't present a problem.
5392063 tn?1390319154 Now for those like me who already have a form of liver disease, my liver cannot work as well as the healthy persons liver. So, if you lets say have cirrhosis and abuse pain pills, you will make it worse. Its a pretty simple concept really.
Avatar f tn In fact when I person has End-Stage Liver Disease (the final stage of liver disease), when a patients liver is beginning to fail, yogurt with live bacteria, can be helpful in relieving one of main complications that sometimes occurs. Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE). Which is caused by a build up of toxins in the GI track. Cheers!
Avatar m tn Acai berry is really no use, if you want an anti-oxidant, go for blueberry just, it's cheap and does the same thing. There is no proven double blind studies showing any use as a therapy.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma and it spread to my liver. is my liver compromised by this?
Avatar f tn t gotten any news except for the fact that the levels are 46,000 and my enzymes were slightly elevated. The doctor is sending me to a liver specialist and for some other testing. She said that they may not treat me???UM I like have a freaking disease that I would like to get rid of or at least try to! So instead of treating they just watch me until it gets worse?
Avatar m tn Get treated now for your hepatitis C to prevent further damage to your liver. Hepatitis C can cause cirrhosis of the liver, liver failure and liver cancer. Most baby boomers have been infected for many decades and may have significant liver disease. Like hepatitis C infection, liver disease even early cirrhosis usually has no symptoms until it is advanced. Hepatitis C is curable in most people now with new treatments.
Avatar m tn Hello, My mom was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and has been in and out of the hospital 6yrs now..... at this stage fluid has built up in her belly and in one leg with blisters (she is in the hospital right now) they are giving her medication and anitbiotic to dry up the infection in the leg... but it is taking long to "dry up"... they are considering amputation...has anyone gone through this?
Avatar n tn years ago I had a bladder sling put in and in July the doctor did a bunch of tests and examined me and said the sling was still in place. The uroligist put me on Enablex which has been working, and I am due to go back in two weeks......yesterday, I started feeling almost swelled up at the opening of the bladder.....I am embaressed to ask, is it possible that my bladder is dropping....
