enablex and potassium

I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.

On celexa, tried oxybutinin and myrbetriq. Gave me anxiety. Is enablex a good choice? Side effect of celexa was frequent urination. Eneblex only one that didn't cause anxiety, but side effects are bad. Anybody?

I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.

I have had several episodes of not being able to make it to the bathroom and have also wet the bed several times. My doctor gave me Enablex and the episodes stopped. I stopped taking Enablex and the bedwetting and not making it to the bathroom happened again. The doctor started me on Vesicore and again the episodes stopped. Have you ever heard of this happening after TUMT? I had the TUMT so that I could stop taking Flomax.

Well if you were a guy I would say enlarged prostate gland if you had surgery and a lady then I would say you will go and run water and drink plenty of it. If you still cant go you need to go to the emergency room you may have stones blocking there.

I have had good luck with ice packs and/or hot compresses. I have been diagnosed with interstitial cystitus and irritable bowel characterized by chronic constipation. My gastroenterologist believe this symptom is bowel related...I have never discussed it with my urologist, but as suggested by helstrom I will! corndog, a urologist diagnoses and treats interstitial cystitis. IC is chronic inflammation of the bladder lining.

I've always had low pottassium and always had to eat a banana everyday. I also have Graves Disease, had hyperthyroidism and had RAI (radioactive iodine) then a Thyroidectomy. I never associated the two. I thought my low pottassium was from heart issues being born with a heart murmur. Maybe it does both fall together. Just get on the bananas and take a pottasium supplement everyday until the levels increase.

They have a much higher amount of potassium (99mg is the minimum daily requirement). I had terrible leg cramps and started eating a couple bananas a day and snacking on raisins, and I rarely get them anymore.

It does not specify which side effects are from potassium being too high and which are associated with it being too low, but you could certainly google "potassium too high" and get some good information.

Last year I had NO potassium and ended up in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit for five days. The shots are very painful but they do have potassium pills. I think they give you the pills after they have gotten some measure of potassium back into you. Please be extremely careful about this.

blood test they said the urine came back fine but I had to go back a week later for my blood resaults so I go back kidneys and all came back good except my potassium it was 7.5.

ve been browsing internet sites to gather information and saw that there is a link between high potassium levels and thyroid problems. My initial thyroid blood tests came up normal, TSH 1.47, T4Free 0.95 and T3,Free 312. my thyroglobulin antibodies were slightly high, at 21 and thyroid peroxidase antibodies were less than 10. The next blood labs, done in the hospital, were TSH .69, free T$ 0.74 and "normal" thyroid gland antibodies.

Mornin' Toots, Many folks have more than one "issue" in the mix. I think you will find, if you browse through some of the posts here, that you are not alone. I'm no expert and certainly do NOT possess a medical degree and more than likely am wrong, but it's my GUESS that a person with OCD may not have any anxiety problems. They probably don't like washing their hands a million times a day or checking that they turned the oven off......

Sorry can't help on the question about potassium and its relationship to hemoglobin. I know iron usually raises hemoglobin, but high iron isn't always good for the liver, either... maybe for the time being adding just a little more iron-rich food to your diet (red meat, broccoli, dark greens, etc.) to give you a little hgb boost? Hopefully someone who's better at the biochemistry will pop in. I know you must feel crummy...!

That did help but now I am wondering if I am taking too much potassium. I starting concentrating on foods with potassium such as bananas and also increased my supplement to two a day instead of one. Now, lately, on top of the fatigue I was already having (from other issues?) I have been feeling swimmy-headed and having a lot of headaches as well as increased feeling of exhaustion. I am wondering if I am taking in too much potassium now.

he has done urodynamics and also looked into my bladder through scope and said that nothing is wrong with my bladder and urthera,he first gave me vesicare for a month than enablex but condition still remains the same ,then i went to another general phyisican he sent me for x-ray of my lower back,results came out negative.my urlogist told me to go to neurolgist...

I got a call from dr have to take potassium for 3 days. Mine was 3.1 and normal is 3.4. The MCHC was high also. Went to walmart with hub lastnight and couldn't breath and shook all over heart racing and then finally stopped. Then came home and did it gain at bedtime. Always at bedtime it seems for me or mornings. Weird.......

(about three years ago) I was ok for awhile and, now the severe pain has returned....which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...

I had hyperthyroidism (had a PT), and I had low potassium; I still do. I eat a lot of bananas and apples, but the endo wants me to take potassium supplements as well. It seems to me it has to do with the thyroid, but getting an answer from the endo on it seems to be impossible!

The low levels of potassium could explain the blood pressure elevations and leg cramps. How does high iron levels affect potassium uptake/levels? Any help much appreciated!

By the way, an overdose of insulin depletes potassium, and guess what? Ocasionally causes a siezure.

s office that keep coming up abnormal and I had been feeling bad few days before. My EKG was fine and my potassium was low. The Doc said I probably had a bout of SVT and sent me home with a few days of potassium pills. That was a week and half ago. The last two night I have had a racing heart (tachy 100 or bpm lying down) and feel very fatigued. I have a cardiologist appointment in six days but am concerned about this tachy at night.
