truvada is just tenofovir+ftc, it is sueless on hbv unless non response to tenofovir, which is extremely rare
it adds toxicity and higher price because truvada patent is not expiring in 2014, no difference on hbsag.
instead of truvada it is best only for those non responding to combo tenofovir+lamivudine.

Would it be safe to use this unopened bottle as I have read that most medications are really good for 5 years after expiry and drug companies just put the expiry dates on so people will throw them away. You are correct that Truvada is a combination of tenofovir and emtricitabine, and is generally prescribed for patients with HIV. Being a HBV forum, most of us know very little about Truvada except that it is prescribed off-label for HBV by some doctors, and that it is recommended for HBV patients who develop resistance to Tenofovir.

The expiry date on the bottle says 01-2011.. Is this bad that I used the eye drops three weeks after it was suppose to be discarded? I only used three quaters of the bottle. I paid a little over fifty dollars for this little 5 mL bottle.... But what can you do....
As you used a condom and as it did not break and as the condom was used with the expiry period, there is no risk of HIV. However are you sure the expiry period of the comdom is in 2014 as you say you got it 3 years ago?
Yes, a PFO can cause fatigue as the blood/oxygen level pumped into circulation may be compromised. More likely, the cause of being tired can be related to low blood sugar and anemia.

it depends how it is stored; unopened and in a cool and dry place. There is usually an expiry date on the vial. Other than that it should be used within a certain time after opening - probably 1 month.
