I started smoking about 2 years ago and never had any lip related issues. As of last month (April 2016) I started getting this lower black/blue ish lower lip. You can only see it when I talk because it mainly on the inner side of my lower lip. My upper lip is starting to get it as well. My lips are pretty dry too. I drink alot of water, use extra virgin olive oil, vaselina and chapstick nothing helps. I think its getting worse. PLEASE help! I dont want to have dirty blackish lips.

Marijuana can cause panic attacks in some people. Mainly in people who have been smoking for a long time, however, I suffered panic attacks after only 4 months of smoking. These dark spots on the lower lip can be due to use of cosmetics, sun exposure, smoking, dry lips etc.Rare but serious causes of dark spots on lips are oral melnaotic macules and Peutz Jegher ‘s syndrome .Keep your lips well hydrated. Apply lemon juice mixed with glycerine.Cutting down on tea, coffee and quitting smoking may help. If it persists consult a dermatologist. He may suggest appropriate treatment. I hope it helps.

i do not saw any cold sore on her lip but she was smoking before touvhiong her finger to my lip , i am worried bcoz she may hav etouched her lips while smoking .
After use I saw my lips get very white and after a couple of days it seemed like the top thin layer of skin came off: painless. I know its my fault for not reading the box but now my lips get very dry. They turn to an off-white color. I am constantly licking my lips and using chapstick. Its like my lips are not holding any moisture. When I press my lips together they seem to stick almost like I have a small application of glue on them, making them stick.

For a while now I have had a lower lip that was drooping and chronically chapped. Recently, it has been getting worse. Not only are both of my lips chronically inflamed but my cheek-area is also inflamed as well. Its very disfiguring and creating alot of emotional stress. The lips are chronically red, dry, chapped.
An x-ray cannot detect smoke, especially to a light smoker like you. However, the effects of smoking are diagnosed via x-ray, including emphysema and lung cancer. But there is a different case for heavy smokers, as the x ray result shows changes in the interstitial markings referred to as dirty lungs.
