and during the latter part of the month, I was experiencing some pain in my Vagina. It was itchy, sore and most horrible of all.. I had this awful green/yellow discharge. I had to change my underwear lots of times.
When I found out that I had trich, I bought Metronidazole and took 2grams (1 dosage) of it. Metronidazole made me feel really sick! Anyway, after a week I realized that I still had trich. Exactly the same symptoms were still there. So, I took Tinidazole.. a 2g dose.

The doctor gave me Metronidazole pills to take to treat Trich and should told me i couldnt have any alcohol 3 days before and after takin the pills including the alcohol in mouthwash bc it was cause a bad stomach ache. i was also wondering if this included my toothpaste which has mouthwash beads? Or is regular toothpaste better or not good either?
I'm taking antibiotics, including Metronidazole 500mg for h.pylori. I had the same fears but with my son 12 years ago my Dr actually made me take the hydrocodone because I kept ending up in the hospital with SEVER pain that kept causing preterm labor. Even while breastfeeding it scared me cause he would go to sleep before even switching breasts to get full. After talking to my Dr and a high risk specialist they both assured me the baby gets less than 20% of all the medication you ingest. They will not give you something that will harm you or the baby!!!

I'm really cautious and worried about taking it because i searched and this pill has a lot of bad side effects, like making you really sick. It says that there is an alternative pill called azithromycin with less side effects. I talked to my OB about that and she said that she hasn't prescribed that to anyone who has trich.

You should start taking a probiotic to counteract the negative effects of the antibiotic. I would wait for the stool sample to come back which might show what is wrong. If it has only been going on for 15 days I doubt it is chron's disease. Make sure you are drinking enough water and keeping your electrolytes up while this is going on. About a month ago my dermatologist put me on Bactrim for acne.
