rehab

Avatar m tn The cost of undergoing treatment in a drug abuse treatment center is a subjective issue. What is affordable to one person may not be applicable to another. So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
Avatar n tn I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment. They tested me when I got there but the results didn't come back until 7 days into treatment. I was already out of detox. So I chose to stay clean and not get back on anything. They wanted to put me back on methadone which is what they used to wean me off the oxy contin.
Avatar m tn It takes a lot of courage to go into inpatient rehab. Its not an easy thing to do to admit that you can't control your drug habit. Most people can't admit that the drugs control them addicts think there in control. I guess if you live in insanity for a long time it starts to feel normal. How many days are you going in for rehab?
5901196 tn?1395543909 Hello! My name is Dee. I'm 53 yrs. old, have 3 adult sons and 8 grandchildren. My history of drug use is very long, 30-33 yrs., so I'll just get to it. (I have to thank God right now for letting me have a home and my family.) I got off Suboxone about a month ago. What I need advice on is this: Even though I'm clean, I'd like to go to inpatient drug rehab, (at least a 30 day program), to work thru all of these emotions that are coming to the surface.
Avatar f tn I was in a rehab facility for drug treatment...the place had a no drug policy for tx of withdrawal experienced while in rehab facility. The levels of the drug in my body as the level decreased it caused me to have insomnia for several nights and after three/four days I then had a grand mal seizure..l was finally given Tramadol for help with sleep. Per the rehab facility Tramadol is only drug prescribed as to very low addition rate. Supposed to be basically non-addictive.
750852 tn?1254234267 I really think i need to go to treatment... i have some questions for those who have been. How do you find a place first of all.. how do i know if i need to go. how do they determine if you need inpatient or outpatiient treatment. It sounds scary. So do you like go and do you sign your life away.. like what happens if you **** up... do you have to be clean to leave.. are you stuck there. I know i shouldnt think of these things i should be more positive. I wanna just escape this whole deal.

8323481 tn?1405705654 You have given yourself an amazing gift by choosing to go into the detox/rehab treatment ... taking time set apart to focus just on you and your sobriety and recovery program. Avatar m tn WOW 6 80s a day thats quite a habit...I dont understand if you told them at the drug rehab you shooting them up there would be no question of abuse something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...
Avatar f tn SERIOUS help. Is rehab (a treatment-center) an option for him? If not, at the very least, he needs to get himself to a hospital so he can detox all the b/s out of his system before it KILLS him. Mixing all of the things you mention is a killer combination, as Tramahater indicated. Ticking time-bomb to say the least... Keep us posted...
299889 tn?1257339377 Hey there. Rehab vs In Home is a personal decision with no right answer. However, drug use vs clean has a definite right answer! That said, any way you get there is the right way for you. The process will suck, but (trust me) its well worth it. Power & prayers for ya!
Avatar n tn Hello, I'm hoping someone who understands addiction could help. My 21 yr. old son is an addict. He's been in rehab a few times in the past 4 years. His drug of choice is mainly marijuana, but he's used cocaine, oxcy and various other drugs and he drinks. Over the last month... he began drinking a lot, smoking pot a lot, snorting coke and doing a bit of this or that (I'm not sure).

Avatar m tn d on a meth/cialis combo. I would really like to have an intervention for Dave. Tom is unsure if drug rehab is appropriate because it's less obvious that the drugs are the real issue especially since he doesn't do them ALL the time (except for weed). He thinks he needs an actual mental health facility, rather than rehab. What WOULD be the most appropriate setting for my brother to receive help? Thank you!
Avatar f tn because they often treat drug withdrawals as all the same. They are most certainly not. The treatment protocols for, say, an opiate addiction are completely different than for a benzo. Some rehab facilities claim that you may be rapidly withdrawn from these drugs, and you can, with the help of phenobarbitol to control seizures. But the problem is once you leave the rehab facility, as the process of healing from an overly rapid withdrawal from benzos can be a difficult and lengthy one.
947931 tn?1251495088 From my experince, I told you about the contraptions you can buy to use another person's urine to get a clean test (male and female). Your son knows when he will be drug tested at rehab, it certainly didn't take my daughter too long to figure that out... so she tested negative for all drugs, much longer than she should have during round 2 of intensive out patient (following her inpatient treatment).....
Avatar f tn Addiction runs on both sides of my family and my brother completed a drug rehab about 2 years ago. I attended the family counseling and new how easy it was to get addicted to prescription drugs. Long story short 2 years later I am now addicted to my pain killers. The shame and embarrassment I feel is unbearable. I came to terms with and was recentLy able to admit to my mother and father that I was an addict.
947931 tn?1251495088 Yes his drug of choice is oxies....Hes been an addict for 11 months when he was in college & graduated & realized he had a problem... Avatar n tn i voluntarily put myself into an 18 month drug rehab in 1993. i was about to lose my kids. i had to do something. they made me detox for 3 days prior in a hospital. it was a really good program. they helped anyone with drivers license problems, fines, court ****, etc. i was able to take nursing classes. they help ed me find a job, save money, and have a place to live so that i slowly re-entered the "normal" world.
149675 tn?1416673133 evidence is building to support the 90-day rehabilitation model, which was stumbled upon by AA (new members are advised to attend a meeting a day for the first 90 days) and is the duration of a typical stint in a drug-treatment program. It turns out that this is just about how long it takes for the brain to reset itself and shake off the immediate influence of a drug.
Avatar m tn She finally admitted that she was hooked and needed help. We got her into a rehab center to hopefully get off them, so we can save our marriage. It is just as hard on me with her not being here becasue she is my best friend and we had our routine of drinking coffee and talking about anything that we want, and it was so depressing to wake up and not see my best friend laying next to me. I was wondering what it is like in rehab.
