Avatar f tn i agree you need to go to rehab....it wll help you in court. but, more than that you can come out of rehab clean and continue to stay that way. there is great support here but i agree na meetings are good too. good luck and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn WOW 6 80s a day thats quite a habit...I dont understand if you told them at the drug rehab you shooting them up there would be no question of abuse something dosent sound right here...well there are 2 avenues to take here if you still got a bunch left you could taper off some and get down to a lower dose then jump off and hang on the withdrawals are doable but no fun....plan 2 is just to jump off C/T and bit the bullet you will be sick for a week but you will not dye from it...
Avatar n tn Has anyone every been to rehab for drug addiction? If so...I would like to chat with you about my nephew who had to be taken to rehab after an overdose of Xanax.
Avatar m tn He was out for 1 hour and passed his drug test.He does not like rehab and to be honest i thought he would have left by now.But he is so determind to be drug free ,im proud of him as i always thought the worst would happen to James .He finds the meetins hard and to open up but i think that will come in time.Frank says its got to come from James and will eventually come. James will be 1 week clean tomorrow. And over the worst of physical w/dsHe still feels agitated when pushed.
Avatar m tn So, you’re right to look for cheap rehab centers. You don’t have to break into a bank or go broke in the name of getting off drug and alcohol addiction.
983679 tn?1276833336 Will you start drug court once you are back from rehab?
823771 tn?1238694400 I got out of drug rehab about a month ago. I was taking 270mg of methadone and and did NOT want to go to a drug rehab. I had no intentions of quitting upon my release. I went in completely high and naive towards what WD really was. Just like anything else you will find that people are both good in bad while working for a rehab. I encountered people that truly did not care. they told me I would get out of there and fall flat on my face.
Avatar f tn My son has been addicted to oxycotin for about 5 years. He is trying to tapper down from 200mg a day. I think he's down to 80mg but he feels like ****. No energy, aches and pains, trouble sleeping. My question is does it make sense to cut down before quitting and what would be the best way to do this or would it be best to just go cold turkey as he's already suffering?
Avatar m tn Where can I watch programs and testimonials of real people for drug addicts and alcoholics. I found a site: http://recoverynowtv.
Avatar f tn I am going crazy i just cant stand to be using anymore but am at a loss as to how i am ever going to do this on my own. I really think i need rehab, detox something of that sort. i live i a small town and dont think we have anything of that sort in our area.
Avatar f tn I finally went to Rehab and was giving Suboxne to help deal whith withdrawl. To my surprise it helped my pain better then anything else I have tried! I want to know if this drug can be used long term?
501205 tn?1227345442 I cant sleep and was watching the VH1 show Celeb Rehab and I have to say I wish I could have detoxed in that center! Its so nice. Hell, I wish I could stay there right now. I like Dr. Drew too. People say that he is a fame--- but I dont know . he seems to really care about his patients. Either way that recovery center is so nice and beautiful.
Avatar f tn I would never consider rehab because I would lose my weapons carry permit. Also everyone I know that has been to rehab relapses. Rehab makes it too easy. They just load you up with more meds to make you feel good and then Turn You Loose for $30,000. I am 24 days into detox and I am starting to feel better. I have counted every minute. I plan on leaving on a road trip out west one week from today. My wife doesn't understand and is unwilling to research what I am going through.
Avatar m tn She finally admitted that she was hooked and needed help. We got her into a rehab center to hopefully get off them, so we can save our marriage. It is just as hard on me with her not being here becasue she is my best friend and we had our routine of drinking coffee and talking about anything that we want, and it was so depressing to wake up and not see my best friend laying next to me. I was wondering what it is like in rehab.
Avatar f tn I am a 44 year old woman - attempted suicide and hospitalized. They prescribed Citalopram 20mg - increased to 40 mg. However, this med gave me such highs and lows I hated it. One moment, I'd be talking a mile a minute - next I'd hardly be able to speak a word. I knew this was not the one for me. So, went back to Nurse Practioner. She prescribed me Mirtazapine - 15 mg. By day 3, my tongue and lips were frozen - as if I'd been to the dentist and had my mouth frozen.
Avatar n tn I have been addicted to pain killers for 6+ years. I've decided that enough is enough & I can't continue to live like this anymore. I am 3 days clean & currently going through withdrawls. I can not afford rehab, or have anyone to care for my children if I could afford to go. I don't know if wanting to quit & change my life is enough for me to kick this. My husband knows about my addiction, I went to him for help. He doesn't understand why I can't just stop.
Avatar m tn It would be people coming to you that have gotten in trouble with drug use and you are something like a parole officer but not with the authority, mostly gathering information and helping them out. Has anyone ever been involved in charges against them for drug use? Is this system a big farce and bad trip? Once we are clean should we just stay away from this kind of thing forever? One part of me would really like to help others out very much. And another part says stay the hell away from it.
Avatar f tn I would try to go the detox/rehab route because of the combination of the drugs and alcohol. A focused intervention with a drug counselor could be set up with a trip to detox immediately. Look in your phone book for drug/alcohol assistance. It is usually in the front pages in a special services section. She is in heavy denial and needs to be approached with a worked out strategic plan. Good Luck. Ask for lots of help.
