dovonex scalp lotion

Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.

I am 8% covered, elboes, knees, arms, scalp, and legs. It had become really painful in the winter time. I have treid all the regular stuff, dovonex, clobetasol, olux e , all the topicals! It just does not work for me, anybody have any other suggestions??

does anyone know about any new medicine for psoriasis?beside dovonex,enbrel,humira.?

I also have a dry-skin problem on my face and my doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream which helped, but the same cream does not remedy my scalp problems. Even with lotion on the dry spots in my scalp they still appear. Any help?

I'm 13 1/2 weeks and my skin and scalp has gotten dry. I added coconut oil to my lotion but it wears off like my body is drinking the lotion. I'm itchy and uncomfortable. I've tried about 4 different shampoos and conditioners and they make my scalp dry and itchy.

I have been using acne gel and hidrate lotion from one month my acne settled well. But from last 3 days I am getting very bad white flakes on face. My face is tight and some time applying lotion burns my face. White flakes have appeared first time on my face. I am very scared does this resembles dermatitis? I also have little bit itching on face.

I have been helping my husband in application of Halox Lotion on his scalp for psoriasis problem. But as soon as this lotion comes in contact with my skin it leaves my skin very dry and cut ... which leads to itching and burning ... the condition stays very bad for few days till i stop using the lotion and my normal skin is retained only after 2 weeks or so .... Is it Halox Lotion for normal skin ?? what are other side effects of this medicine ..??

hi can any one give me some advise, a few weeks ago istarted to have a very itchy scalp and burning sensation its driving me in sane , i went to doctors and they gave me antibiotics which did nothing . i went back and they gave me a steroid lotion and told me to use a coal tar shampoo which i have done but to no avail. now my doctor says they dont know what else to give me that they are baffled . i just wish i could find something that would cool my head down and give me some relief.

My psoriasis lasted aorund 10 days on the genitals. Of course it did not go away without me putting Dovonex on it. Dovonex is not exactly highly recommended for the genital area but it cleared mine right up. I have also got those painless type lesions that crust over and go away within 2 weeks.

Hi, I am really really concerned about a burn scar which I have on my left hand. I burned my hand with hot wax in a little area about a size of a quarter about 6 months ago. Now I have a white scar on that area. I've been to a dermatologist and they prescribed me Dovonex and Vectical ointment. I've been using Dovonex and now I'm using Vectical. The dermatologist told me I should keep putting the ointment on before I think of doing something else.

I shaved about 2 days after that. I now have a terrible infection on my scalp. It looks like severe acne and is all over my head. My Dr. put me on an antibiotic and hibiclense wash twice daily. I'm at 32 weeks SOC treatment. I've had lots of problems with dry skin, itching, etc. every since beginning treatment. Thanks for the info on the Bond lotion. I've been reading about that alot. I had my thyroid checked and its ok. I also work in a fashion oriented business so I'm not comfortable being grey or bald. If it continues, I will definitely be buying wigs.
