Avatar f tn My dog started having seizures a couple months ago, and it was determined it was idiopathic epilepsy and phenobarbital was prescribed. She did fantastic on it for a month and a half then started seizing again, and they have become more frequent the past few weeks.
Avatar f tn My 28 year old health son, informed me on 4-30-13 that he had a headache for @ 6 days. 2 weeks before that he indicated that he think he fainted in the bathroom because he woke up in the bathtub askew and the shower curtain was torn down around him. He also indicated when telling me that he thought he fainted that the last thing he remembered was going into the bathroom and looking in the mirror.
Avatar f tn I would think the suboxone is not what would cause the seizures but i have heard of seizures coming off of the xanex. Perhaps your going to fast off the xanex? How much sub and xanex do you use and how are you tapering? Are you tapering under a drs care?
Avatar f tn I might have now developed some type of seizures. My surgery was on 4-27-15, now I have had 2 incidents. Once where my handwriting changed dramatically. It looked like a fifth grader wrote it. Today I almost passed out at the post office. It same on in seconds and was gone after 10 minutes. I was dizzy, sweaty, I almost fainted. Couldn't talk or move. Well. I was fairly aware during the incident. After each time, I got very weak and tired and a horrible migraine.

Avatar f tn Also if you've previously had seizures or have epilepsy and just haven't been having seizures, pregnancy can trigger them due to the added stress on your body. I have epilepsy but up until I got pregnant, hadn't had a seizure since I was 13. There are things they can do to help you, especially if they are frequent. Don't be scared, it needs to have addressed before it becomes dangerous (if it hasn't already). Please seek medical care immediately.
Avatar n tn Has anyone had any experience with seizures due to low blood sugar? I am confused about why his reading are normal when I check it. I don't want to blame this on diabetes and have it be something else and let it go untreated.
Avatar n tn August of 2006 I have had 16 seizures and 12 of the 16 were grand mal seizures. From what I have read from others my out of control blood sugars could be the cause of these seizures. I have many doctors trying to find out the reasons of the seizures but still no final explanations. This is very scary to me.
Avatar n tn Although this is something that you should monitor, because chances are there is a serious underline cause. My dog had seizures a while back. We took her to the vet and they confirmed that she had an enlarged heart, and sadly died shortly afterwards. So I would keep an eye on your cat.
410208 tn?1253658950 Both of my neurologists insist I have had seizures or episodes my entire life or that I have had recent head injuries which to my knowledge neither are true. I still worry that my problems were apart of the pregnancy but my neurologist wont do anymore testing until the end of this year. I've also been dealing with severe depression/anger which I was also told this is related to the seizures (not the issue of having and dealing with them but the seizures are directly causing my depression).
Avatar n tn ll give you some pointers so you have ideas as to whether she is having seizures or not.
Avatar f tn Seeing the post on xanax made me ask this. I stopped taking xanax suddenly several years ago and had a seizure. After having it I went home and slept and when I woke up I had no memory of it until the person that was with me when I had it asked me why I didn't tell him I had seizures, then it all came back to me. I had not been drinking so it was not a black out. I still wonder to this day if it is normal to forget such a major thing??
323051 tn?1206924683 Is it possible to have seizures when coming off of high dosages of Oxycontin? I know that it is a risk with xanax and diazapam, but not sure about the oxycodone. The reason I ask this is because all night last night I was having really bad muscle spasms, sudden jerking of my arms and legs, and a couple of times when I stood up I felt really light headed and the room went white, (possibly from lack of sleep, food, and dehydration?) But it really scared me!
392042 tn?1200844860 Ok , Several of you have posted comments on ultram giving you seizures. I take tons of ultrams but hve never had a seizure from it. how common is it to have ultram induced seizures? could it be caused from just going cold turcky ?? or too much ultram in your body? and why are Doctors not aware of the addiction problems with this drug. even my own doctor told me that ultram was not addictive..
