I used Super Colon Cleanse tablets by Health Plus Inc. It is sold on Amazon, but I got mine at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 tablets twice daily for 10 days. I did not notice any blood today.

Then my GI doc showed me the discoloration that the laxative did to my colon, this was I believe caused by the laxatives blocking necessary elements in my diet to keep a colon healthy! I did try Amitiza, it does work for me, 8 mcg twice daily. I went off of it due to the cost, and ended up in the hospital.... NOT fun. I am back on Amitiza now, and hoping to be back to normal soon.

I need advice for colon cleanse. Is colon cleanse necessary? i have good bowel function, regular BM's and generally good health and balanced diet. My question is should i do colon cleanse? At the moment i take Aloe Vera juice for colon cleanse. I need an advice.

no it wont. i had to do a bowel cleanse for a colonsosopy and felt no better, and saw no muoid plaque.

I am currently taking Zoloft for depression and anxiety and am preparing to do a detox colon cleanse. Is it safe to do a all natural herbal detox colon cleanse while on Zoloft as long as the Zoloft is taken a few hours apart from all other supplements?

Cramps may be coming from build up or even digestive dissorders. A good gentle cleanse I know of is called ACOG colon cleanse. I use it myself and it does wonders for the elimintation process. It comes with an Aloe vera concentrated juice that soothes and heals for a easy, painless and totally natural bowel movement. I say look it up, find more info and see for yourself. I am 20 years old and for as far as I can remember back to when I was a little kid... I would get fecal leakage 30-60 minutes after I had a bowel movement. i am starting or have started a month long one through a supplement that i take 2 in the morning for the full body cleanse and than two supps for the colon cleanse at night time. i am wondering if someone can tell me how does one know if its working(aside from using the BR alot) and two how they felt during it?

it is all over the web but I am very skeptical of it because there are all these stories out there but they are all the same just different names? they say to take the Accai Berry supplement in the morning and at night and then the Colon Cleanse supplement at night? they say they are shedding like 30 pounds in a month to a month and a half. This cleanse is meant to be used as a juice fast and laxative-based colon detox. You want to use it differently. I have no idea if this works if you do it the way they suggest, though I can almost guarantee the cleanse has nothing to do with weight loss -- if you stop eating of course you'll lose weight. When you start eating again, unless you change your diet, you'll gain the weight back. Using laxatives can be helpful in a short-term fast, but they can also be tricky.

We virtually eat the same foods and I almost never smell. I thought maybe he needs a colon cleanse? What should he do so that every time he passes gas, or has a bowel movement we don't have to run to the other room!!?

I think it's important for your mom to know how healthy her liver is before attempting any cleanses. I've tried a colon cleanse with no problems in the past, but liver cleanses tend to be less gentle...and if her liver is challenged, she may more run into problems. My personal opinion is to stay away from any product that has a long list of ingredients unless you have the time to look up each one. In the case of liver health, more is NOT better.

I there....first rule of thumb is to always do a colon cleanse first. If you would like to do some gentle cleanses, I would suggest going to your local health food store and looking for the Renew Life cleanses. The absence of understanding, particularly from so-called doctors, whose job it is (one might think) to at least try and find out what is the problem, is frustrating and sad. Your situation does sound very, very unpleasant indeed. I'm not an expert, but have done so much research over the years that I connect some dots (because I have a doctor like yours).

Is it true that it is normal to have them. I saw that you can do a colon cleanse to get rid of them, but if we need them, should I do a cleanse. Also I have IBS so I don't know if a cleanse would be a good idea.

Why does my upper abdomen feel like it's spasming after having half a glass of wine? It seems like it starts to stop then starts up again. Colon cleanse is not an enema. It's laxatives you take or drink very simular to what you took before your colonoscopy. They cleaned your colon out before they put the snake camera up your colon. LOL I don't think theres a lot of medical benefit to cleaning the colon unless you have constipation problems. Too much info right?
