I may sound crazy by venting on here but I've been with my husband since I was 18 I am now 29 and I'm expecting our 5th child and I'm so ready for a divorce I feel like I hate him now he's so mean to me he's 40 and he's like a grumpy old man. I'm overly confident that I can take care of my children on my own and be much happier doing it. The state of California won't let me surve him with papers until I have the baby but I'm ready now.

It really depends on where your from. I'm in Washington State. A girlfriend of mine just had her baby, she's not married to the father. It didn't matter if she put him on the birth certificate because the father has to sign an affidavit claiming paternity, if he doesn't sign, his name on the certificate is void & wouldn't you know this a-hole didn't sign the affidavit & then got mad at her for not listing him as the father.

My daughter and her hubby are getting a divorce. In this state you gotta come up with 2600.00 minimum to get a divorce attorney. Is it like this all over?

I have been with my husband 4 yrs now married for 1yr we have a 10 month old together and i have a 6yrs old from a previous relationship. You may be able to file but not go to court until after baby is here. In divorce papers they will set up child support, visitation, medical support for baby etc. but do yourself a favor and when they set child support immediately go to your child support office and have all checks go through state that way he and you is protected.

I do know that in the state of Florida if you're married, your baby gets your husbands last name.. But! If you can prove you've been separated then it may change the circumstances a little. Have you filed for a divorce and it's in motion?

A wk or so ago I posted that I'm in the process of getting a divorce and my current bf is my baby's father. I understand the fear you have of losing money on the house and having to find another home for yourself. It stinks. Getting a spouse out is a bit hard. Divorce should do it but you need someone to advise you. Document everything related to his drug use. Take pictures. Record things.

If you are an illegal immigrant I'd advise going back to where your home is and getting your papers or going wheerever you have to go to get your papers I'm not sure where people go to get their green cards but I'd suggest doing that

I currently have insurance through the state (I'm in PA). Do I need to call and tell them I'm pregnant? My first doctor appt is Monday but they said that's only with a nurse. I won't see the actual doctor til 12 weeks. They had already given me papers to verify I'm pregnant.

It took him about a year of fighting to convice her to give him the divorce papers. However he got married in Nevada his ex is there along with his two kids he had with her. We live in Minnesota and he couldn't make it to the court house there to get divorced so they held a court hearing over the phone. She said she has the divorce papers and wants him to sign them without taking them to a translator first he told her that he would sign them but he doesnt speak or read english yet..and she wont give the papers to him now that im pregnant..we have been talking to my lawyer about filling and running it in the papers but the only days he has off the lawyers office is closed..i was told we could pull the papers up our selves and have them ran in the paper and filled..

Why not go to the courthouse and just see what your options are? I heard that here in Washington state if you want to adopt a baby, like say you meet someone else, get married and want him to adopt your baby making him the legal father you have to put an ad in the local newspaper(where he lives) and if the birth father doesn't respond you don't need to contact him in anyway and the adoption is approved by the state.

I say go ahead and move, then your baby will be a citizen of that country. And what type of man or father does that make him to kick out his pregnant wife and right before the baby is born. I say pack your bag and get your ticket. Don't tell him anything. Just go. But first get the divorce papers. Sign them and file them. No one can claim the baby cause the baby isn't here yet. Do this before you leave. Make it easy so you don't have to stay.

Leaving the state might help, you could still collect child support i would think under the circumstances. I'm glad that welfare is trying to get child support from him.You can get a cheap divorce by doing the papers yourself, it doesn't cost very much. You could save up 10 dollars a month do to it. It would do you good, plus it would be very helpful if you happen to meet a man worthy of you and your child.
