I've got the divorce papers filled out, I just need him to agree to sign them, because I would like to file them as jointly because I heard it goes more smoothly than filing single. What would be the best most calm way to approach him to sign the papers as joint. I was thinking about having my parents and his sit down with us to have him sign them. To keep a calm environment. Since I'm afraid he'll lash out and refuse to sign the papers or tear them up.
But anyways I filed for divorce and served him the papers but now it’s like I don’t know what to feel. Like I’m glad to be getting a divorce but now i don’t know what to feel about him. Do I love him as a friend or what? I don’t know. Anyway if someone went through something similar some advice would be great. Thank you.
She said she has the divorce papers and wants him to sign them without taking them to a translator first he told her that he would sign them but he doesnt speak or read english yet..and she wont give the papers to him now that im pregnant..we have been talking to my lawyer about filling and running it in the papers but the only days he has off the lawyers office is closed..i was told we could pull the papers up our selves and have them ran in the paper and filled..
First...thank you ladies for all the feedback. Update: I did tell my lawyer that I'm pregnant and that it's not my soon to be ex husbands. My lawyer wrote up the settlement and cleverly noted that I'm pregnant ...not with his child and in a way that my ex won't know that I'm expecting. It's legal and my ex won't find out through the divorce papers or at all if I can help it. I did all that worrying for nothing and you all are great for the support!!!

A wk or so ago I posted that I'm in the process of getting a divorce and my current bf is my baby's father. My lawyer advised that he would have to put in my divorce papers that I'm pregnant but I didn't want my ex to find out or he won't be cooperative....to make this short, I asked if I should get another lawyers opinion and the majority response was yes so I did and my new lawyer didn't even ask if I was currently pregnant so I didn't say anything.
I had a similar issue where I wasn't technically divorced yet when I got pregnant, at the hospital they told me my husband would have to come sign papers before we could leave saying he knew it wasn't his baby so my son could take my boyfriends last name!
Since she is not on state assistance, there is no help for her beyond a phone call giving her advice on how to procede or help filling out the papers. She checked into pro bono, nothing in the country and has no money to try to go it alone. I could help with some of the filing fees if need be, but she may end up representing herself. No one has money to give her and unfortunately when she borrowed in the past she never paid back, whch hurts her as well.

You may be able to file but not go to court until after baby is here. In divorce papers they will set up child support, visitation, medical support for baby etc. but do yourself a favor and when they set child support immediately go to your child support office and have all checks go through state that way he and you is protected.
I am in the process of talking to a lawyer to divorce my husband. We've been separated for about 8 months, I found out after being with him almost 10yrs that he has a thing for young call girls. I've moved on to another relationship and I'm 19w 5d. My lawyer is telling me that be has to put that I'm pregnant in the divorce papers but I don't think it's any of my ex's business.
Theres an app you can download with a checklist(: thats what im using! When youre in there you really don't need as much as you think(: the checklist is nice to have though!
I have neuro appt on Monday morning, just need to get well enough to get there (am in VA need to get to AL) will have a stack of ER papers for him.
Biogen will want me to file another report with FDA, of course, but I'm already sector scanning for an alternative DMD or even considering a holiday from everything.

DH told me last nite that nothing has happened between him or anyone else. He said he thinks he has a problem because he wants to "go out" He said he doesn't know what to do to fix this. he says he loves me and doesn't want to hurt me or divorce. I don't know what to tell him. hell, i don't even know how to feel. And the only friend I thought I could talk to is the same friend that DH is obsessing over.

Me and my husband had been married less then a month but have been together over 6 years I am currently 23 wks pregnant with a lil boy and have a 4 year old daughter. Today we had an argument nd he asked for a divorce knowing I can not do it alone financially he also said tht once the divorce papers are completed he doesn't want anything to do with any of us and wants us to stay away from his family

Soo..I had this happen. Basically I couldn't stand my now exhusband while I was pregnant..but it was because of a huge number of things that were going on. What he said, what he did, how he acted, etc. I waited until we had our second child and still kept trying to make it work even though I couldn't stand him more times than not. It got to a point where I couldn't take it anymore and it was obvious that it was unhealthy so I left him.
t want to jump right into a divorce, but I am so uncomfortable being exposed to this much pain, sleepless nights, etc. I know if I reach out to her she will push me away, but I have a constant urge to try and solve this.
Right now the children are ok, but since this is progressive dysfunction will increase.
Any assistance or success stories you can provide would be beneficial.
You told her you wanted to divorce? You went to see a lawyer, or had divorce papers presented to her? Until they day the legal process is complete (and I don't know where you live, so what the process is there or how long it takes) then you are not divorced, and you can stop that process at any time.
Do you WANT to divorce your wife? Does she want to be divorced from you?
jrobertson is right - the alcohol and meds will affect your judgement.
I am 10 weeks pregnant and have been married that long... My husband is not nice to me in the slightest. I know that for the sake of my baby and myself I need to do something but I don't know if I'm scared or what. I have constant anxiety and because of it I have a pain in my side. Has anyone else ever asked for a divorce? How did you do it? I don't know how to approach this and I feel like I'm dying inside.
