Diovan tab 80mg

Common Questions and Answers about Diovan tab 80mg

diovan

Avatar m tn I started Diovan over 10 years ago as my blood pressure was borderline high. Started on 80mg, tried 160mg, back to 80mg and currently on Diovan 160mg/12.5mg HCT as of a week ago. My BP was spiking to 150/100 so my doctor decided to try adding the water tab. Here in lies the issue. Over the course of the last year I started noticing that I was getting very tired, and especially dizzy throughout much of the day. Headaches have increased, stiff muscles, and a general feeling of sluggish.
Avatar f tn my Dad went to see our family doctor. had his blood work and ecg done and showed no sign of heart attack over the weekend. the cardiologist and physician talked and they put my dad back to metoprolol 25mg with the diovan 160/12.5mg. so now he's on lipitor 80mg once daily, metoprolol 25mg (2x daily), diovan, and aspirin 81mg. any comment on this prescription mix? thanks so much for your advice.
Avatar n tn In March 2008 I thought I was having a heart attack and after a trip to the E/R the EKG, Blood work and chest x-rays were all normal. After a follow up with a doctor I was put on high blood pressure medicine. I once again had a pain under my left nipple area and since the doctors office didn't think this was a side effect of the new BP medicine they suggested I go to the E/R. Once again the EKG, blood work and chest x-rays were normal.
1413627 tn?1281837531 I am surprised your labs are not worse than they are. Between the Lupus, RA, Mitochrondrial Disease, stomach ulcers, and Thalasemia Minor it is difficult to say which is causing the abnormal lab counts and the other question is maybe this your baseline; normal for you (related to the multiple diagnoses). Have the labs repeated in a week, and if they are the same or worse, consult a Hematologist, especially with all you have going on.
Avatar n tn I take plavix, lipitor, toprol-xl & diovan. Have been taking them for 2 1/2 years after stent implantation. Any ideas on how long you should be left on each of these..or are they classified as 'health maintenance'. No real side effects to speak of.
Avatar m tn The cardiologist said I had too many extra beats. He just put me on Atenolol 50mg, and I have been taking Diovan 80mg for my BP too. The doctor said my electrical system is just sensitive, and that the Atenolol will take care of my issue. He said its good that I am found this now instead of later in my life, which could result in a heart issue in the future. Right now I weight in at 208lbs, and I have done a complete 360 on my lifestyle. Never smoked or drank in my life.
1763947 tn?1334055319 Hello. I am 49. I was recently diagnosed as having early stage heart failure due to long term hypertension. An echo listed things the MUGA did not (concentric remodeling, global systolic dysfunction). The EF was 35-40. MUGa said that my EF was 38 and mentioned global hypokinesis. So I was put on Diovan. It's been a month, my systolic has dropped but my systolic hasn't budged. IT's always been 90-92.
Avatar m tn I am on Diovan 80mg with a water pill 12.5mg. I take this pill everyday and it is doing nothing for my bp. I have taken Norvasc, Atenolol, and Hydrochlorothiazide in the past and had no relief. I can feel my heartbeat all over my body (fingers, toes, temples, top of head, stomach, neck, ears, eyes) and can also see it in my chest, stomach, neck, and sometimes my wrists.
Avatar n tn 05mg, Atenolol 25mg, Diovan 160mg, and Simvastatin 80mg. I am avoiding fried foods, spicy foods when at all possible. But, I recently have developed a severly raw and acidic stomach and throat. The raw feeling in my stomach continues no matter what I eat or drink. Milk turns into what seems like liquid fire in my stomach. I even tried vomitting a couple of times to get rid of the acid for what I hoped would be immediate relief - but it does nothing to help.
Avatar f tn I am also taking diovan 80.12.5 once a day. I would like to get off this medication as it is making me very sluggish and tired all the time. How do I wean off this medicine as I am only taking it for one month.
Avatar f tn My question is could this be the result of the CVID? My PP reduced my Diovan HCL 160 to Diovan 80 to see if that was the problem. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn I'm a 64 yrs. old woman who used to take Diovan 320 mg. & Toprol 50 mg. for my B.P. My B.P. readings was okay but my Doctor discontinued the Toprol because my heart rate usually on the 40's. I am currently taking Norvasc 5mg. with the Diovan 320 mg. So far, my B.P. readings is very good, 110/70. But eversince I started the Norvasc, my left leg is swelling and it is becoming worst. I'd like to ask my Doctor to discontinue the Norvasc.
Avatar m tn I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for about 2 years now. I started taking Diovan 40 mg about 3 years ago, but my doctor thought it wasn't working so he increased it to 160 mg. After a while, I started feeling dizzy or light headed and We decided to cut down diovan to 80 mg. the dizziness went away for a few monts then it came back and was getting worse. I made a big mistake of stopping the Diovan all together.

378273 tn?1262097621 I am 73 and take Warfarin for atrial fibrillation. I also had a hip fracture nine months ago. I also take a blood pressure medication, Diovan, and Metopropolol 25 mg. Would any of these drugs cause the elevation in liver enzymes?

Avatar m tn i've been taking around 80mg of Codeine (5 x 16mg dosages through day) for 15 years. I've just realised that I therefore have a drug proble. I am desperate to stop - Can't see my GP/Doctor for various reasons. My question is, if I go cold turkey will the low dose I've been taking work in my favour or will I suffer hell. Also if I go cold turkey, will I crave the tablets (I don't at present) what will stop me rushing out to the pharmacy and buy more?
Avatar m tn ve lost 12 pounds and my bp has dropped from 148/98 to 135/88. I am also taking Diovan though hope to be off it as I continue to lose weight. (2) I don't smoke and rarely drink. (3) I did have a stress test a year or two ago that turned up nothing significant. Any further testing I should consider? (4)I have spoken with my family doctor, but other than the stress test, she suggested nothing else.
674555 tn?1272600376 my father and grand father had hypertension, high cholesterol and both have had heart attacks. I was also diagnosed hypertensive when I was 24 and have been on 80mg of Diovan since, my cholesterol is only slightly elevated 3 or 4 points off the norm. I was a smoker for 10 years (recently quit) I take fish oil and an 81mg asprin daily along with a fiber supplement, and eat healthy.
Avatar n tn Thanks, birdie0907, for your input. The "2 day plan" was my invention. I guess I just thought that since I had been on Celexa for such a brief period of time, I would not need a long tapering off. What do I know!!! I hope within a few days, my symptoms will be completely gone. I know that yesterday the dizziness was not as prevalent as it had been.
