as I didnt have this happen before.. not even when on toprol or diovan. but did have worse side effects from them ! have you ever had anyone with these problems or symptoms , that is on verapamil or maxzide ??

blurring vision - lazy eye lids- effects nerve in eyes. with long term use be it known, I went to my eye doctor (yearly visit) he found after testing, I had slight left eye signs of early Glaucoma. he than asked me what b.p meds am I useing daily? I told him, and he said - Point blank get off the Diovan ! it can cause Glaucoma.

ll say 25 mg once a day is a very low dose and hope your get some feed back from others on side effects. It seems they vary greatly person to person. For me 50 mg a day has minimal side effects, but yes, it does cause some fatigue. I am also in permanent atrial fibrillation which may be the real issue for me. I had taken Toprolol when much younger and in normal sinus rhythm (then it too was 50mg SR) and it had no side effects that I can recall, I was still running for exercise.

I have been on verapmil and maxzide for just over 30days now , switched off of toprol xl and diovan (due to adverse side effects and massive problems) Im started getting alot of trapped gas and bloating belly conditions! no matter what I eat or drink -it happens? it does go down within 2 or 3 hours after. but sometimes I get the worse ever trapped gas! painfull goes right to my shoulder and upper back and chest ! pushing bloating feeling ?

I am pretty constipated sometimes even after as much water I drink. I have been reading alot on the diovan hct side effects and come to find out that all of my problems are from it. I am going to have to find a new bp medicine. I sincerely thank you for your time to reply.

I am taking the generic of Diovan 160 mg. I was thinking of trying bystolic, but I have heard that it was expensive.

I have now been on Metopropol almost a month. I do get depressed (I probably shouldn't have read up on the possible side effects) and get tired very early in the evening. Chest pain is not a known side-effect of diovan/hctz. Given the fact that he had a recent bypass I would urge you to take him to the ER ASAP.

I too am on 175 - 200mg of Zoloft and I admit when first starting the medication I was feeling quite dizzy and nauseated. Dosage started at 50mg, then after a week increased, and every week increased until I reached 175mg. In the past my doctor has had me on Celexa and Effexor but Zoloft seems to work the best, for me that is. Everyone is different. I waver between 175 - 200mg depending on the kind of day I'm having.

My 90 day average BP is 108/67 down from 135/85 when I started. I have had no side effects as well, the best of both worlds!

(for nothing at all ) Im dead sure its the medications, I did re-check side effect listings for toprol xl - and found out of 10 sites for side effects, 8 listed ringing of the ears for toprol xl. I then e mailed the makers of toprol xl - and they confirmed toprol xl can cause ringing of the ears as a known side effect. I also checked DIovan and its listed as well - Due to this , I guess the next best thing to do is see my Doctor and complain to get off the medications or switch them.

My friend just quit taking Chantix due to the inability to handle the side effects. She has noticed that since quitting the Chantix alcohol has effected her differently. While on the Chantix she noticed the effects of alcohol tokk in quite quickly where now she seems to have a tolerance that was not there before. Is it possible that theh Chantix caused her intolerabilty to alcohol?

zestril (lisinopril ) has some pertty bad side effects too! - with chemical meds its a no win deal, with side effects - they all have them !! I need to be on medication for high blood pressure. I have tried HCTZ, toporal XL, Verapamil, Atacand, and am now on Coreg. Hi, I had a second ablation about 9 months ago and it apparently was successful because I have been in normal sinus rhythm since then. the problem I'm experiencing is with my heart rate. since the ablation proceedure my heart rate elevated to 100-110 bpm. my EP prescribed cardizem cd and it is keeping it under control now. the side effects are what's causing me problems. my toes and lower legs are feeling numb.
