as I didnt have this happen before.. not even when on toprol or diovan. but did have worse side effects from them ! have you ever had anyone with these problems or symptoms , that is on verapamil or maxzide ??

ll say 25 mg once a day is a very low dose and hope your get some feed back from others on side effects. It seems they vary greatly person to person. For me 50 mg a day has minimal side effects, but yes, it does cause some fatigue. I am also in permanent atrial fibrillation which may be the real issue for me. I had taken Toprolol when much younger and in normal sinus rhythm (then it too was 50mg SR) and it had no side effects that I can recall, I was still running for exercise.

blurring vision - lazy eye lids- effects nerve in eyes. with long term use be it known, I went to my eye doctor (yearly visit) he found after testing, I had slight left eye signs of early Glaucoma. he than asked me what b.p meds am I useing daily? I told him, and he said - Point blank get off the Diovan ! it can cause Glaucoma.

as the side effects from toprol and diovan are very harsh for me! I cant understand why a Doctor would go backwords and put me back on a medication that caused me problems before? seems strange to me ! and now that im on the stuff, im haveing all the bad effects again -shortness of breath at times, and dizziness and fatigue, massive headaches ! and cramping everywhere.. b.p dropped down but its not under control yet.. as it spikes..

When I was on Zoloft I became VERY energetic (prehaps even slightly manic) when I first started to take the medication and had trouble sleeping. This lasted a few weeks. I have been on verapmil and maxzide for just over 30days now , switched off of toprol xl and diovan (due to adverse side effects and massive problems) Im started getting alot of trapped gas and bloating belly conditions! no matter what I eat or drink -it happens? it does go down within 2 or 3 hours after. but sometimes I get the worse ever trapped gas! painfull goes right to my shoulder and upper back and chest ! pushing bloating feeling ?

I am pretty constipated sometimes even after as much water I drink. I have been reading alot on the diovan hct side effects and come to find out that all of my problems are from it. I am going to have to find a new bp medicine. I sincerely thank you for your time to reply.

I am taking the generic of Diovan 160 mg. I was thinking of trying bystolic, but I have heard that it was expensive.

I have now been on Metopropol almost a month. I do get depressed (I probably shouldn't have read up on the possible side effects) and get tired very early in the evening. By 8 p.m. I'm ready to hit the sack. Very annoying-- The running hasn't been affected too much; I'm slower, but not by much. However, I'm constantly hungry. Chest pain is not a known side-effect of diovan/hctz. Given the fact that he had a recent bypass I would urge you to take him to the ER ASAP.

For all those out there who have had post lumbar puncture headaches and other symptoms and side effects that comes with it, have your headaches ever gone past 3 months and have they completely gone away? Same with the nausea and tinnitus...those who have experienced these symptoms beyond 3 months, have they ever gone away for you? If you had high cholesterol, heart disease you will have to stay on cholesterol meds for the rest of your life just like with the BP meds. Once you stop the cholesterol meds your cholesterol will go back where it was or even higher.

I just looked up all of the side effects of Pegasys, Ribavirin and Incivek and none of them lists tinnitis as a side effect. However, I also have worsening tinnitis. I am on Wellbutrin and Wellbutrin can cause tinnitis. I had the tinnitis (from the Wellbutrin) before starting triple med treatment. Hello, About two weeks ago I attended 2 concerts a couple of days apart. After that my ears felt normal for a week. A little over a week after the concert my tinnitus got louder. It seemed to go up slowly but noticeably over the week. I also take Viagra (about a week after the concert) and have had bronchitis recently. I know Viagra sometimes causes side effects in the head, I've had a stuffy head and bad taste in my mouth after taking Viagra in the past.

(for nothing at all ) Im dead sure its the medications, I did re-check side effect listings for toprol xl - and found out of 10 sites for side effects, 8 listed ringing of the ears for toprol xl. I then e mailed the makers of toprol xl - and they confirmed toprol xl can cause ringing of the ears as a known side effect. I also checked DIovan and its listed as well - Due to this , I guess the next best thing to do is see my Doctor and complain to get off the medications or switch them.

zestril (lisinopril ) has some pertty bad side effects too! - with chemical meds its a no win deal, with side effects - they all have them !! Hello about 3 months ago I was prescribed Levaquin for an upper respirtory infection. Well I did experience the normal side effects listed online but then started getted ringing in my ears. I only had a few days left of the medication and didn't realize the ringing wouldn't go away since the doctor told me it was due to an ear infection. I have been off balance and have had visual problems and anxiety of not feeling right sometimes through the day.

This last week, I am feeling very good other than the med side effects. You mentioned that you have had some severe side effects, what are your effects like please? I am going to a new doctor on Thursday for a second opinion on the meds and regarding the ICD that the other cardio wants me to consider.
