I am taking 160 mg Diovan for high blood pressure, as well as 20 mg Levostatin for high cholesterol. I believe that I have ed caused by the Diovan. Is it safe to take ed drugs as well?

3 months ago I was at 230lbs, and I would always get these pains in my chest and my heart would beat fast. Current weight 207lbs. Cardiologist said I have too many extra beats and put me on Atenolol on Tuesday. But he doesn't know about my history of HBP from my family doctor. My BP had always been high since last year. Untill now my Family doctor put me on Diovan 80mg plus Cardiologist put me on Atenolol 50mg. Can High Blood pressure cause PVC's?

The last 2-3 weeks, I have had what we call cotton mouth, where everything is dry and my tongue feels as if it been burned. Its hurts no matter how soft or hard the food is and matter if its water or soda that I'm drinking. Could this be from the meds or is this side effects still coming from the RAI treatment.

My only health issue is high BP in which I take diovan and Cardizem. I also take Xanax .25 mg once daily at night. I still have prescription of Lexapro which I previously used and helped me. I weaned off that 2 years ago. I'm thinking of going back on it. But I do realize I need to go to a psych doc for therapy. I just wanted to share my personal battle with whatever it is I have. I would not wish this on anybody. It is the worst!

I had taken Toprolol when much younger and in normal sinus rhythm (then it too was 50mg SR) and it had no side effects that I can recall, I was still running for exercise. You might want to discuss using a calcium channel blocker to lower blood pressure. In all my comments are made with no knowledge of "diovan" and its side-effects. Good luck in finding a way to keep the BP normal, that is an important issue.

This all started with my potassium being low and being hypoglycemic. The endo doctor took me off all diuretics so that i could take the renin and aldesterone tests. i think i have some kolonipin and i have clonodine too , im on diovan for blood pressure and testeoterone shots for low test due to pain killers , im hoping the testosterone will come back after i stop taking them . so xanax is no good ?

I was slowly weened off Toprol xl and Diovan - about 8 months ago - and put on ccb -verapamil and dieretic maxzide iv been on them for about 4 months - and have been having problems, such as ankles swelling. and closeing throat when eatting! as well bloating belly conditions. over the past month iv noticed my face is always red in color. and my left eye has been twitching off and on.. I seem to dehydrate rapid and cant hydrate fast enough - even when I cutt down on the dieretic med.

For three weeks of consistently avoiding gluten the BP has stayed in the healthy range. I diminished the Diovan HCT to nothing and plan in August after more walking and careful diet to have another fasting blood sugar done since I am hoping the high reading was due to the hydroclorothiazine and not belly fat, obesity and a family history of type 2 diabetes. I was in an accident and in extreme back pain. I I was pit on pain meds and diovan 320. They tried all the BP meds they could, I am alerigic to Beta blockers. Now all of a sudden my blood pressure was down to 85-90/50 with a pulse of 50'ish, i was dizzy and felt weak. I dropped my diovan to 160 and dilitiazem to 120, but my pressure is still running about 95/55 w/a 60 pulse. I feel my blood pulsing? thru my body, and am sweaty. Whats up???
