diovan

514523 tn?1215832667 I went to get bloodwork done at a weightloss clinic (part of the program) and they told me my thyroid tests were abnormal and told me to see my family Dr. My tests were as followed... TSH <0.01 T3 uptake 42 T4 8.8 I have high bloodpressure and have been on Diovan for 2 months . But My Dr. is giving me Toprol and Zocor too while I wait to see the ENDO . I am kinda scared to take all these meds along with what the Endo is gonna give me.
Avatar f tn s had 3/4 of my thyroid removed due to multiple nodules, put on iodine(I think), jump to now and I have 3mm pituatary nodule(not growing), multiple nodules on what is left of my thyroid with enlargement, been tested and retested and everything(T3 T4 TSH) comes back WNL.
369861 tn?1306275686 Does the potassium have anything to do with the thyroid and why did the endo take me off all diuretics to take the two tests. Doesn't he realise that my body would retaing the water and the result of edema? Just wondering? Now,I have gained about 3 pounds since my doctor took me off all diuretics and may have possible congestive heart failure. I posted last week about diuretics and i took the advise, but when i went to the doctor on thursday, i had gained the weight.
Avatar f tn The TSH and T4 you posted suggested that 0.5g of armour once a day was adequate. Armour has less T4 than human thyroid gland - so the T4 tends to run low. 0.5mg of armour would be like 0.05mg of levothyroxine alone. So if you take cytomel as well there would be a need to decrease the dose. The T3 in the armour makes some people irritable. May be wortwhile trying levothyroxine alone. The pain is not likely caused by low thyroid.
Avatar m tn I am taking 160 mg Diovan for high blood pressure, as well as 20 mg Levostatin for high cholesterol. I believe that I have ed caused by the Diovan. Is it safe to take ed drugs as well?
369861 tn?1306275686 I advise the dr what took place with the ER and my primary. The endo doctor then took me off the Diovan HCT and started me on Diovan so that i could take a renin and aldesterone tests. Does the potassium have anything to do with the thyroid and why did the endo take me off all diuretics to take the two tests. With not being on the diuretics, my body was retaining fluid rapidly that I started to look like the pillsbury dough girl.
Avatar f tn s on lipitor 80mg once daily, metoprolol 25mg (2x daily), diovan, and aspirin 81mg. any comment on this prescription mix? thanks so much for your advice.
Avatar m tn 3 months ago I was at 230lbs, and I would always get these pains in my chest and my heart would beat fast. Current weight 207lbs. Cardiologist said I have too many extra beats and put me on Atenolol on Tuesday. But he doesn't know about my history of HBP from my family doctor. My BP had always been high since last year. Untill now my Family doctor put me on Diovan 80mg plus Cardiologist put me on Atenolol 50mg. Can High Blood pressure cause PVC's?
Avatar n tn So, am I being difficult or is she being overly cautious. I take Diovan and Amlodipine for blood pressure and Savella and 800 mg. Ibuprophen 3 times a day for arthritis, inflammation and disc disease. I am also on Norco twice a day for pain. I do have trouble sleeping but also have extremely cold hands and feet and some hair thinning issues. I have no heart palpitations or shakiness issues. So is my TSH too suppressed or not?
640719 tn?1277140030 I have had the same symptoms, Numbness on the bottom of the toes and balls of the feet, prior to December 2008, I was on Metoprolol for High Blood Pressure and now I am on Diovan, I do not have a problem with water, although since I started on treatment for Hashi's I have had an on and off swelling and pain in the ball and bottom of toes on my right foot.
Avatar n tn Mine runs about the same, the highest it has been is 110, and averages about 86 BPM, I used to be on Metoprolol, it was prescribed by a Cardiologist, and controls High BP by slowing the heart rate, that could be an option, if you have Palps, maybe your bouncing back and forth between Hypo and Hyper, I am Hypo and taking Diovan for BP, but my HR still spikes now and then, and with stress it tends to spike also.
Avatar f tn I had taken Toprolol when much younger and in normal sinus rhythm (then it too was 50mg SR) and it had no side effects that I can recall, I was still running for exercise. You might want to discuss using a calcium channel blocker to lower blood pressure. In all my comments are made with no knowledge of "diovan" and its side-effects. Good luck in finding a way to keep the BP normal, that is an important issue.
Avatar f tn I am taking Amlodipine (Norvasc) 5mg and occasionally my legs and ankles (on both legs and never the leg itself) will swell to the point that my shoes will no longer fit, but the the swelling will go down for a while (a week, two weeks perhaps) until it happens again.
Avatar f tn I dont know much about thyroid disorders and was just wondering if i should be alarmed or not my Dr. said the normal range is 0.4 to 4.3.
Avatar f tn Thank you both for the important information. I couldn't have received this information from my Internal Doctor who is only part-time at the clinic I go to. I'll have the Gastroenterologist look into the valve where the esophagus meets my stomach. The oil I was taking may have caused it to stay open.
Avatar m tn Part 1: I am a 54 year old male. I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for about 2 years now. I started taking Diovan 40 mg about 3 years ago, but my doctor thought it wasn't working so he increased it to 160 mg. After a while, I started feeling dizzy or light headed and We decided to cut down diovan to 80 mg. the dizziness went away for a few monts then it came back and was getting worse. I made a big mistake of stopping the Diovan all together.
1346429 tn?1303874854 I can no longer take my heart meds for high blood pressure and irregular hb; topomax for migraines; metaphormin; and a few others. Which I quit taking some of my meds before pregnancy because I did a lifestyle change in which it helped enough that I could quit taking the extra meds. As far as C-section...both my boys were early but big because of the diabetes (not gestational) and I could not have them natually so this is another C-section baby.
343006 tn?1314446471 I was slowly weened off Toprol xl and Diovan - about 8 months ago - and put on ccb -verapamil and dieretic maxzide iv been on them for about 4 months - and have been having problems, such as ankles swelling. and closeing throat when eatting! as well bloating belly conditions. over the past month iv noticed my face is always red in color. and my left eye has been twitching off and on.. I seem to dehydrate rapid and cant hydrate fast enough - even when I cutt down on the dieretic med.
378273 tn?1262097621 I am 73 and take Warfarin for atrial fibrillation. I also had a hip fracture nine months ago. I also take a blood pressure medication, Diovan, and Metopropolol 25 mg. Would any of these drugs cause the elevation in liver enzymes?
Avatar n tn For three weeks of consistently avoiding gluten the BP has stayed in the healthy range. I diminished the Diovan HCT to nothing and plan in August after more walking and careful diet to have another fasting blood sugar done since I am hoping the high reading was due to the hydroclorothiazine and not belly fat, obesity and a family history of type 2 diabetes. So what's my question?
Avatar m tn The sensation typically lasts only a second or two and I find myself instinctively flexing the muscles in my head and neck as I come out of it. Afterward, I often feel weak and flushed. I have two episodes the past couple of weeks; I haven't tracked their frequency in the past but I would guess I would average close to one episode a month. A bit more about me: I am 35 pounds overweight and have moderately high blood pressure an elevated cholestrol, both of which are being treated.
