my vision in my right eye has decreased and this week my opthamologist says i have a "wrinkle" in my retina..and i am seeing a retina specialist this week.. i am just curious and would like to know if this happens often and i am eager to know what possible treatment there may be for it... any information would be appreciated.
I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun.
I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Dear doctor! How long can I use Differin (adaferin, adapalene)?
I got Differin from the doctor and used it for 6 months with no results. Is he to young to start to serious ritual? He is adopted and his birth mom has very serious acne. He is very worried about all these pimples. He started getting them at nine. The doctor told me they aren't really acne but I forgot what he called them so I could look them up.
In June of 2009 I began feeling a foreign body sensation in my right eye and in bright sunlight could see a wrinkle leading from the caruncle/bulbar area of the eye up towards the iris, but stopping AT the iris. I experience the foreign body sensation daily and sometimes it creates outright pain. I realize it probably rubs on my lower lid and also disrupts my tear film thus causing more discomfort.
I saw two doctors - one said not to worry about the wrinkling as it is "normal.
Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
I had cataract surgery several months ago and developed a wrinkled hazy capsule within weeks. This resulted in 2 hazy diagonal bars across my vision. I later had a yag capsulotomy which then further created bad glare, halos, and blurry vision. My doctor tells me this is normal, and the limit of the technology ! This is worse than the original cataract !

Do not smoke because smoking exposes your skin to all those damaging free radicals. Stay out of the sun as much as possible, especially during the "danger hours" when UV light is at its peak (10 am to 4 pm). Always wear sunscreen on your face when going outside in the sunlight. Moisturize daily and make sure you're drinking enough water ( 8 glasses) every day.Develop a regimen now to prevent wrinkles.
I recently was told I have a small cataract which will be removed soon by one doctor, then I will need to go back to the retina Dr. to have a wrinkle in my retina fixed. Can this be done with laser treatment? There are also a few floaters and bright lights occasionally. The first retina repair surgery really HURT....will the next one be as painful?
I am just anxious about the procedure he will use to fix the wrinkle, or pucker. Any help will be appreciated.

About 3 months later I got a lens bag wrinkle in one eye. I went and seen the surgeon who did a yag laser treatment on one eye this left me with a small stardust. I went back and seen the surgeon who said the yag size and condition of the lens are good. Im putting of getting the other one done until I can find out what's causing the star burst.
Night vision while watching TV is not that well and long distance night time vision is even worse, especially driving. I was told that I had a wrinkle and that it could get better or worse. Possible options were getting glasses at night or having ths surgery done over again, which requires a much larger incision and most likely stitches. Thinking of getting a second opinion.
he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....i was reading the paper that comes with oracea~doxycycline and it says it doesnt kill bacteria now im getting worried because minocycline does kill bacteria now im worried i will break out more from the oracea.it says its for rosacea but doest oracea work to kill acne to or no?and the differin gel 0.3% isnt this not as strong drying to dry up pimples as retin a micro 0.1%?

Do not use any alpha hydroxy acid products (those containing glycolic or lactic acid), salicylic acid products, retinoids (Retin A, Renova, Differin and Tazorac) and other topical acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide for 72 hours after the treatment. Also any scarubbing or acne soaps should be avoided for atleast 1 week after the miscrodermabrasion procedure.
He gave me differin and it worked ok.While i was using the differin i was working all summer long outside and usually wore a hat.Well two years later ever since my forehead is my natural skin color which is pale.The rest of my face is very red.I have very oily skin and my skin breaksout if i put lotion or toners on it usually.Is there any advise on how to get my skin to even out and get this redness to go away.Please help.

The surface of the retina can also wrinkle or pucker because the gel is not there up against it to keep it smooth.

Abt two months ago, I was prescribed Solodyn, I use neutrogena creamy wash, Retin-A and some hydroquinone for the dark spots. The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !! so I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and now I have been prescribe Bactrim?
He even said that my retina had healed so well that it was hard to see where the tear had been! During my exam today he said there was a small wrinkle on the retina. I was so shocked, I didn't ask any questions! Should I be worried? He also asked me if I was ok with the balance difference between my two eyes? (R -4.25 +.075, 010, +2.50; L -3.75, Sphere, +2.50). Hello, I am 51, female, and just had cateract surgery 9 days ago. I went for a check up 6 days after my surgery, I was told that I had a wrinkle and that was the reason I wasn't seeing clearly. On the 3 rd. day after my surgery I could see very well, but now it seems like I am blurry in that eye, along with some light reflections....I think at one point yesterday while riding in the car,(it was sunny) I seen the lens that was implanted....I received the restor lens...
