211940 tn?1267884866 Since then the pain is in my shoulder, collar bone, mid arm (between the shoulder and elbow), elbow and wrist. My elbow is now very sore after typing or writing if it's not well supported on a desk. Although it doesn't hurt to the touch. My range of motion has decreased and I'm losing strength as well as the same symptoms are beginning in my R arm now. I've had an xray which showed nothing. Went to PT but wasn't getting better.
264156 tn?1206990594 I have my potassium checked every 2 months and have learned to recognize the warning signs. About the IST and hypokalemia link: Absolutely!! Unfortunetly you won't find much medical literature about it though. I have been going to see a pathologist that specializes in molecular biology and my head is reeling with everything he has shown and explained to me.
Avatar n tn After much research on my own, I decided that it was my piriformis muscle and began therapy that included stretching all of the leg and glute muscles, added calcium, potassium, and magnesium supplements to my diet, and took epsom salt baths for weeks. Finally one day at work, after about one month of little relief, I experienced another sharp pain (after sitting at my desk in one position for hours working).
Avatar n tn So, if you are suffering from any sort of arrhythmia and don't want to try meds (or if the meds are not working or worrying you) try some magnesium taurate or magnesium citrate and see if it helps. Also, do a Google search on those and PACs and/or PVCs. There is a lot of info out there. Of course, this is not an FDA-approved medication but I am really pleased with my results so far.
Avatar n tn I had a lot of dizziness, light-headedness, headaches, balance problems...... even digestive problems, but am basically cured.... After visiting the chiropractor I found out that my hips were out of whack along with my spine. My body was sending but not receiving the signals for my digestive system (since my back/hips were out of whack it was pinching a nerve). Not only was my digestive problem fixed but also my balance problem and my headaches were gone.
Avatar n tn Just wanted to encourage others that you are right on with the mg and potassium! Ive had palps for 10yrs. and 2yrs ago they got really bad. I started getting them in erratic beats and more skipped beats. I ended up in the ER 2yrs. ago that ended up giving me a three day pass on the cardiac floor:) All my test came back 'normal' other than I have a abnormal t-wave. Although they say that it is normal for me but havent always had it, still wondering how I inherited it.?

Avatar f tn I take a variety that includes Mg citrate, orotate and aspartate, and have previously taken Mg malate. It's very soothing to the nervous system. Be sure to tell your doc you are taking Mg supplements, tho, so s/he can take that into account.
Avatar n tn Eat a moderate sized meal with a protein and a fat, and keep you carb intake between 15 and 30 grams during the meal. NO SUGAR. Drink Water, not soda or coffee. If you don't get phlegm after that balanced meal with reduced carbs to lower insulin response.. Congrats, you have your cure. You are also probably insulin resistant, have excess belly fat, and fall asleep after high carb meals and suffer from acid reflux. It all goes together.
Avatar n tn Yesterday I tried starting the potassium and magnesium. PLEASE WORK! Thank you all for being there and sharing ...
Avatar n tn 15 and 7:15 I was dozing and had my worst tremors on record...These extended throughout my entire body including my legs and brain. I must say this really saddened me after I was feeling like I was on the mend. The last three nights have been pretty good although tremors on a much milder scale have been taking place each night. It seems that they are occuring later in the night like closer to 5:00.
Avatar n tn I had a cardioversion done a month later and right away I could tell the difference between in and out of sinus and the calmness when in as well as how much easier it was to breath. I was in for around a week and one night I could feel it coming, and I was out. I was switched to Taxtia XT 300mg per day and had another cardioversion done, and that lasted maybe 2 weeks, and then back out again.
Avatar n tn It lasts a few seconds with a few seconds in between. Very regular and rhythmic and feels like a vibrating cell phone as many have stated. Did anyone see a doc about it?
Avatar f tn Pedialyte ice is also better. She throws up until she staggers and falls-I am continuously trying to hydrate her and giving her baby food-At times, she is able to keep it down, other times the vomiting is horrible. She continues to try for us, and we are fighting so hard for her-LIke others, I tuck her in at night (she sleeps on the loveseat with her "bankie" covering her). I am sleeping in the den with her so I can give her support throughout the night.
Avatar n tn I would have never beleived that I could go this low. My doctor thinks I am depressed. He doesn't know the difference between weak and fatigue.
Avatar f tn I know that sounds weird, but it wasn't a typical twitch, but a pulse that occurred intermittently for awhile and moved back and forth between one eye and the other. The first time it happened I became totally alarmed and ultimately went to my ophthalmologist who could find nothing wrong. It happens every once in awhile without warning and I have sort of become used to it, but I have no other explanation. And yes, my mental focus has dwindled significantly.
