Avatar f tn However, 3 weeks ago a doctor put me on diclofenac sod ec for tennis elbow while I go to physical therapy. Can this cause all of this or should I run to an emergency room?
Avatar m tn Have since February had me on Gabapentin 300mg which was recently increased from 3x per day to 5x per day, Diclofenac Sod EC 75mg 1x per day, and Tizanidine 4mg 1x per day. I did PT in 1999 with no positive results. The only true relief I currently get is sleep. The pain gets worst the longer I'm awake and the more I move and the more I stay in one position while awake.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Avatar n tn refers to answer that diclofenac raising blood sugar, which is not happening. Also mentioned to start off Diclo in lower doses (25-75 mg) where as therapeutic dosage value being 75-150mg. If Diclofenac was prescribed by your Doctor ,then I think you can reassure yourself if you should be on that drug or not.But if you are self medicating (Diclo being OTC in many countries, not in US),I think you should reconsider the reason why you need to take that medication.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

Avatar n tn Hi Experts, Last week I have given blood and urine for test of Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and some other STDs. But Due to some sort of knee pain I was taking Diclofenac Natrium 75 mg twice a day. I took it twice a day for 4 days until the last day before giving my blood for test. Will it effect the test results? Are there chances that the medicine will suppress the bacteria from being detected in the tests? Awaiting for experts' opinion. Thanks in advance !!
Avatar m tn I got prescribed Norco, lidocaine patches, and diclofenac 75 mg. Yesterday I took Norco and I put a lidocaine patch and I woke up with weird heart sensation, like slow heart rate or something. Could it be caused by lidocaine patch? I also take the following medication: Atorvastatin Calcium 80 Mg- 1 tab in the evening Carvedilol 6.
653169 tn?1303446369 Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?
Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
Avatar m tn This past December I pulled a muscle in my back which turned into a muscle spasm. I was prescribed Diclofenac SO EC 50 mg, Skelaxin 800 mg, Tramadol HCL 50 mg. Two days after taking my medications I had a bad reaction with a 103 degree temperature. I went back to the doctor and he said it wasn't due to the meds and blamed it on bronchitis right after saying that I didn't have symptoms of bronchitis. Another doctor confirmed it was due to a bad reaction to the meds.
Avatar n tn Since than I have still dealt with this horrible swishing or like that butterflies in your stomach filling, but it is where that valve is. I am told I have SOD Dysfunction. I have had many ERCP,S which resulted in pancreatitis almost every time. I went to Scott and White Hospital in Texas and was told that probably no doctor would be able to help me because the mortality rate would be 75-80%. He said the only doctor that could propably help is Dr. Lehman.
Avatar f tn Currently my prescribed med i take are spironolactone 100 mg/day, bupropion 400 mg/day, domperidone 40 mg/day, rabeprazole ec 20 mg/day, arthrotec 100 mg/day, Trazodone 200 mg/day, ducosate sod 200 mg/day, and citalopram 60 mg/day. exlax is extra strength and i take two/day and the diurex is 200 mg and I take 1/day. Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar n tn While there isn't any concrete evidence that EC is hereditary, there is some speculation that a predisposition to Barret's might have a hereditary component. (It is also believed by some that while not everyone who gets Barrett's gets EC, everyone who gets EC had Barrett's.) As Ayri said, for peace of mind, having an EGD every two or three years is a prudent move. Also, following a GERD diet would be a very good idea.
1330108 tn?1333677304 I am doing EC with Ellie (elimination control Aka similar to potty training). I was wondering if anyone else has done it or is doing it.
Avatar n tn Since that attack I have been plagued with continuous upper abdomal discomfort, gurgling, wind and pain on both right and left side immediately under the breast. I even have shap chest pain. I wonder if I suffer from SOD and if so does anyone else have these symptoms. They often resemble symptoms of hiatus hernia, indigestion and heartburn.
Avatar f tn However, the material was not seen in my small bowel/intestines until 75 minutes post injection. In fact, the technologist had me get up, use the restroom, and walk around for 15 minutes, then return to the table for another try. I should also mention that there was no trapping of material in the biliary tree. So does the length of time (75 min.) indicate that perhaps it is a SOD disorder?
1204528 tn?1588786333 I checked interactions with carbamazepine + diclofenac epolamine topical/diclofenac ophtalmic/diclofenac potassium/diclofenac sodium/diclofenac topical.
Avatar f tn It means you had discharge. White discharge is common in women pregnant or not, and the amount will vary depending on the female and where she is in her cycle. In regards to your other question, it can feel like your cycle will start but it doesn't mean it will. Watch and see what happens and if it does, more than likely it is due to the EC. Overall, you're still looking way too much into this. Most of all these are just everyday usual bodily functions.
400667 tn?1203744543 I had read a post a while back about SOD and how it mimics Cyclic Vomiting. Can someone please give me some input on what SOD is and in what way it mimics Cyclic or if these two syndromes are in any way related. It would be greatly appreciated. I have a friend that has a son that has been dignosed with cyclic but when I saw the post as first mentioned I read that SOD very well could mimic cyclic. If not SOD is anybody aware of any other syndromes to look for that might mimic cyclic symptoms?
