Avatar n tn I just take a prenatal multivitamin by Nature Made that has DHA in it. It's nice because it's all in one capsule. I also take an extra folic acid also by nature made.
Avatar f tn I use nature made soft gels with dha...
Avatar f tn I was taking nature made with dha, and just recently switched to enfamils prenatal with dha because they sent me a free months supply. Most prenatals are good just finding one that does not upset your stomach is the trick. Take it with food and at night before bed. It helps to do that.
Avatar f tn I take the nature made prenatals+ DHA. They are a little big but no weird tastes. And they don't upset my stomach. I just buy the big bottle at costco.
Avatar f tn I take nature made prenatal with dha...doc said DHA is better to have with the prenatal...
Avatar n tn I researched, nature made has a gel cap with dha. Gel caps have less fillers and dissolve quickest so you will absorb them quicker. I also take an extra 400 mcg of folic acid to equal the amount that in the prescribed kind. These have never made me sick. The tablets your can taste the vitamins I don't taste anything with these. I recommend highly recommend them. They are inexpensive too. My doc said they are perfect. I trust everything that man says. He's a great doc.
Avatar f tn My doc said there was no reason to get prescription prenatals, that otc were just as good. She recommended nature made prenatal capsules with dha. The dha is important. Often Walgreen's has nature made b1g1 which is nice. You'll need everything in the multivitamin more now than normal cause baby is using up your vitamins.
Avatar f tn Centrium prenatal- has the multi and dha. And nature valley with dha. Definitely get something with dha so important baby's brain development!
Avatar f tn I use "Natures Made Prenatal Vitamins + DHA" :) has a lot if not all of what you need and about 90 capsules a bottle :)
1891853 tn?1344648442 I just ran out of my prenatals, they were called Nature Made prenatal + DHA. and I was thinking about filling the prescription my doctor gave me for prenatals. But I was wondering if there was any concern in switching brands? (since they have diff doses for everything) and would the doc prescribed ones be better? Or are they basic, like not containing DHA or something?
1166767 tn?1315427171 I'm early in my pregnancy :) 5 1/2 weeks and went to the doctor last week and got a prescription for my prenatal vitamins- The DR prescribed Gesticare DHA- Even with my insuracce the co payment was $50 (for one months supply) I think this is kind of high so I'm wondering what are my other options as far as prenatal vitamins? Is it okay to take OTC prenatal vitamins? What prenatal vitamins are you taking?
Avatar f tn Ive been taking regular o.t.c prenatal pills. I recently ran out, couldn't find the original ones i bought so i got these nature made ones, but they contain DHA. I haven't taken prenatal pills containing DHA my entire pregnancy. Will it do any harm to start now at 31 weeks? Or should i take ones without. Any advice?
Avatar f tn I started taking nature made prenatal with dha. My ob said to keep taking it, it was just as good as what she would have given me. I think the gummies don't have iron, and if you are a veg you are probably already gonna be low on iron, so you should probably take a prenatal with iron if you can stomach it. Try taking them before bed to reduce any stomach issues if you are sensitive. The prenatals are important since they have vitamins and dosages specifically for pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I take the over the counter brand called nature made, prenatal + dha. It's all in one gel capsule. All of the prescription prenatals made me sick as well, but this one doesn't make me sick at all :). Of course take it on a FULL stomach.
7125575 tn?1588844178 Thanks for the advice!!!
1003723 tn?1306252350 I use nature one baby's only. I order from natureonedirect. It's the best stuff out there after all my research. Most formulas contain dha using a hexane process ( currently being investigated by the govt and soon to be banned from organic baby food). Nature one is the only one that does not. They do their dha separate and use an egg phospholipid process. I know it sounds complicated, but if you look it up you'll see why I choose nature one. Sorry for all the info good luck.
Avatar f tn My doc said there was no reason for a prescription, the OTC were just as good. I use the nature made prenatal liquid capsules plus dha. She said that was one of the better and more complete choices.
Avatar f tn ) you can also get some prescribed by your doctor.
12426295 tn?1426875995 I take Nature Made Prenatal multi + DHA. I buy them from Costco, good price and they don't make me sick at all.
