Avatar m tn Hello, I am writing because I need help. I am a 26 years old male and I have recently been diagnosed with chronic urticaria. My symptoms started 3 months ago when my skin started itching and I developed some dyshidrosis in my hands. I consulted my GP and he suggested it could be some allergy due to spring (south hemisphere) that we should wait maybe it would go on its own. It didn't. So I made a consult with a dermatologist.
Avatar n tn I have tried every available birth control on the market. Such as the pill, patch, nova ring, diaphragm, sponge, IUD, to condoms. Any hormonal variation causes sever and lasting yeast infections. I also have a latex allergy so we use non-latex condoms which break 1out of 3 times. Other then a tubal is there anything I'm missing? I also strictly chart my ovulation so I can keep and eye on that too. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Avatar m tn You can find easily an over the counter over-the counter antihistamines (e.g., loratadine, desloratadine, cetirizine, fexofenadine) which can be used to help with symptoms. You may also use over the counter smoothening, antipruritic agents to get relief. Also use mild soaps and calamine lotion which helps in soothing the skin. 689528 tn?1364135841 Here it is ...allergy season. Everyone is fine except the dog suffers. He's come into allergy problems late in life. He will be 9 this fall and he's only had problems starting last year. He had the exact same problem last year and I feel so bad for him. He ended up getting a hot spot and we took him in to get pills and a steroid shot. I don't want it to come to that again this year. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to control his allergies that would be great.
Avatar m tn Recommended medical treatments are have been largely unsuccessful in the control of my issues, other than treating the symptoms. Oral steroids (prednisone) are the most effective treatment, and it cures almost all of my symptoms, but the relief is short lived as I taper off the dosage. Over the past two to three years symptoms also include severe migraine headaches, joint pain, and sleep disorders. Now I am 44 years old.
