ddavp nasal solution

I have used a nasal spray (DDAVP) for three weeks, but the bleeding did not stop. I tried doubling up on the nasal spray since I was prescribed the wrong strength, but it did not help. I had my second Depo Provera shot on December 7. I thought it would help make the bleeding stop, but I am still bleeding. I have also tried a estrogen pill I was prescribed, but it has not helped. I know I will have light bleeding on the Depo Provera, but is it normal to be bleeding for 37 days?

There is a drug called Desmopressin (DDAVP) it reduces urine production at night. But drinking too much liquid with the medication can cause problems, and Desmopressin should be avoided if you have symptoms such as a fever, diarrhea or nausea. Be sure to carefully follow instructions for using this drug. Desmopressin is given orally as a tablet and is only for patients over 5 years old.

How do you wean off the medicine DDAVP? I've been taking this medicine for many years only to find out my tests say I don't need it (I had small injury to pituitary in brain). Unfortunately I find it almost impossible to wean off because it makes you go to the bathroom ALOT after the medicine ware's off! since it's an anti diuretic/water retaining pill! Confusing and tricky.

As far as I gathered, the pure saline solution to help with those nasal membranes is just fine. I wouldnt worry too much aboutit.

is it okay to use albuterol sulfate inhalation solution .083 % even if its out of code? I have real bad asthma and I got a serve cold and cant afford to go to doctor.

In the past 5 years or so, I have slowly developed a restricted nasal problem to the point in which both sides of the inner nose become completely blocked and cannot breathe through my nose at all; in or out. Currently, the only remedy that will help is Vicks Sinex 12 hour fine mist. I need to break away from using this medication as it has its bad side effects such as excessive mucous, nose bleeds, and loss of some smell.

Hello Rahul, I'm not sure if you have sinus, allergy, or asthma. Nose sprays should have given you some relief from nasal blockage. I swear by one product 'NEILMED" neti pot. Go to the drugstore where they sell the Neilmed white neti pot which include solution for you to use. My family, grandkids use it all the time when nose is blocked. Not the squirt up nose type (tho u may try that too)...as I prefer the white tea pot type.

Hello, I'm 26 and I had a non-secreting 3cm by 2cm macro adenoma removed from my pituitary about two years ago. Since then I have had regular MRI scans and Endo appointments. There was a small piece of the tumor left behind but six months ago I had a MRI and it had not grown since the MRI that was done post surgery. My question is I have asked her endocrinologist to prescribe DDAVP for her to take during several camps she has this summer. He will not because of a chance she could have a seizure. I can't remember the exact reason but it does have to do with her diabetes and how DDAVP interact in a diabetic's body. He said the chance is very low, but possible. Could you give me your thoughts on a Type 1 diabetic using DDAVP.

I've been using the Neilmed nasal rinse for a few years now after undergoing surgery. Now when I don't use, I have really runny nose and strong headaches. But when I do use, I have a uncomfortable feeling between my eyebrows. I searched the web and the reasonable explanation is that water remains in the sinuses. I feel distracted either way throughout the day and it is hard to work with these problems.

Does anyone have any good home remedies for post nasal drip? I'm dying here:( I've had it for two days and its driving me nuts. Typically is that a symptom of a sinus infection?

It could be sinusitis, if it is accompanied by nasal stuffiness and facial pain or pressure. Post nasal drip could also be due to allergens.
