917815 tn?1377498254 I dont post much (read a lot though)...a little over 3 weeks clean (again, LOL)... My right shoulder has been killing me the last 2-3 weeks, and this weekend, seems to have gotten worse; Doc said on Fri, most likely muscular...went through the weekend with Tylenol and today, pain is even worse. I asked him for something "non-narcotic" (he knows about my addiction) and he suggested Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer).
Avatar f tn Hi I just happened across your post. I am sure others will be a long very soon. While you are waiting for the pros here; I would say, if I were you I would slowwly wean down. Your body is used to getting this medication. It is going to be looking for it. This is just my opinion, I am not a doctor. I have taken flexeril, could not take more than a 1/4 or I would feel very odd. Maybe that was a good thing. You can get a pill cutter and start cutting your dose.
Avatar n tn , with a short acting hydrocodone for breakthrough (and have been tried on both Cyclobenzaprine and then switched to what Wobby65 mentioned, Zanaflex). But I think both thise pain meds you mentioned are short-acting pain meds. which I've not heard much about taking 2different short acting meds. If your Dr. rx'd, then that what he rx'd... Did he say take those together/within the same day together? Best Wishes!

Avatar n tn These brain drugs use the magnesium channel to get to the brain, and that can cause muscle spasms -- very common side effect. They also affect serotonin, which is partly responsible for relaxing muscles.
Avatar n tn Due to the lack of data in subjects with more severe hepatic insufficiency, the use of Cyclobenzaprine HCl in subjects with moderate to severe impairment is not recommended. http://www.drugs.com/pro/cyclobenzaprine.
Avatar n tn Then my doctor put me on tramadol with cyclobenzaprine. I was still experiencing shots of pain down my arms About a month later, so my doctor had me get a MRI of my neck. The MRI showed I have small, minimal, and broad posterior disc bulge but does not contact the cord throughout C2-3, C3-4, C4-5, C5-6, C6-7; C7-T1 is normal. By the time I saw my doctor, I began to develop numbness and tingling which spread from my right hand to my whole body, face and all.
2085202 tn?1373199740 Hello there, alrighty will do. No, it was lorazepam and cyclobenzaprine muscle relaxers. Had no idea at all nor was informed that it needed to be tapered off. Stopped cold turkey. Really freaking out. Feeling as if i'm going to randomly pass out, getting chills, chest pain, left arm pain, fast heartbeat, migraines.
Avatar f tn J Many times symptoms appear due to synergistic drug interactions. I think you would be best advised to get one physician to review all the meds/dosages/timing and then try to coordinate what you take for treatment. Off the top of my head since your pulse is very low try taking toprol-xl 2x/day instead of 3x. That might allow your pulse rate to come up a bit, but then your BP might rise. This is self medicating and not a good idea.
Avatar n tn Can I took two tablets of ic oxycodone 5-325, can I take my ic cyclobenzaprine 5 mg with it?
Avatar f tn i am looking as well.... we really are supposed to advise you to google it..... but you may want to post this on the substance abuse side where there is more action this is the social side and fewer people are reading....but i am researching it also to see if i can help you!
Avatar f tn Welcome to the medhelp neurology forum. Flexeril or cyclobenzaprine or baclofen are not associated with hoarseness of voice. More plausible causes of hoarseness of voice need to be checked like acute laryngitis, vocal cord nodules, allergies, gastro esophageal reflux, smoking, thyroid problems, trauma to larynx, parkinson’s disease and trauma to larynx. Consult an otolaryngologist who will evaluate the causes and treat likewise.
Avatar f tn Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics. I went to an urologist here for my pe and he prescribed me Cialis. I know cialis doesnt work for pe.I have bought some generic dapoxetine on internet, i tried them but they didnt seem to work.I used them for 5 days and i quited them becouse 1 day i woke up with high bp.
1243543 tn?1269124022 When you first start taking, it might make you feel a little strange, and it can blur your vision a little. But as you begin to get use to it these side effects tend to go away. You don't have to be frightened of it, just be cautious. And don't drive or anything, til you get used to it. I've never heard of anyone taking half a pill, but its probably a good idea until you get use to it. And hopefully, it will make you feel better.
Avatar m tn Do you have a prescription for the Cyclobenzaprine? I would look for it and be ready to share it with your potential employer. Also, I would ask them what they found. Are you sure there isn't something you are leaving out? As long as you have a prescription for it you should be safe. It's illegal for them to discriminate against a legal medication that is prescribed by a doctor.
Avatar m tn I just remembered that about a year ago I was prescribed some muscle relaxers for my neck (Cyclobenzaprine). Do you guys think that if I take one or two of them when I am having a hard time sleeping from the restless legs s**t that it will help me sleep?
483757 tn?1208481255 I have the same problem, I am 34 weeks right now, and I am delivering at 37 weeks at the latest due to my back pain.. If I go earlier they are not going to stop me at all. I am only allowed to take percocets, and I try to just bare the pain. I cant walk, bend over, and I am not sure how I am going to pick up the baby at all... Will they deliver you early?
Avatar n tn Can u geta "high" frm flexeril?
Avatar m tn if I cant get someone to take this seriously...Im going 6 ft under...cause this pain is more than i can handle.....please help me.
Avatar m tn Medications called alpha-adrenergic blockers which help relax the muscles of the prostate gland, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pain killers, antibiotic course because the cause may be bacterial, diazepam , methocarbamol or cyclobenzaprine, sitz baths, self-massage of the perianal area, allopurinol ,transurethral microwave thermotherapy and surgical resection of the prostate. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn The jolting pains can be due Vit D or Vit B12 deficiency, fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis causing multiple pinched nerves, or due to sciatica which happens due to pinched sacral nerve root. Get the blood levels of the above checked. You would need to consult an orthopedic specialist and the treatment will involve medicines, physiotherapy and maybe surgery if need be. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar n tn hi i need help, my sister is 8 months pregnant, is on methadone and was just perscribed promethazine, cyclobenzaprine and zolpidem are these safe drugs to mix with methadone and pregnancy? she did just recently switch doctors for unexplained reasons..
Avatar f tn AMRIX (Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules) is indicated as an adjunct to rest and physical therapy for relief of muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. AMRIX should be used only for short periods (up to two or three weeks). AMRIX has not been found effective in the treatment of spasticity associated with cerebral or spinal cord disease or in children with cerebral palsy.
Avatar f tn Your SX sound similar to mine when I get a sinusitis. Sinusitis does not have to produce fevers, it can hide quietly in your sinuses and make you feel miserable. I'd consult an ENT or medically termed an Otolaryngologist. They specialize in disorders and conditions of the ear, nose, and throat. It may behoove you to consult one and rule out any possibilities that your symptoms are not related to their specialty.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your quick response to my question. What would these drugs do to interfere with the outcome?
Avatar n tn my legs are the same way, if i do too much walking or even going up and down stairs they quit, I am just standing in the middle of the room going nowhere, It started when i tripped in superstore and my knees got the brunt of it, but if I suddenly stop my husband gets my crutches which help some. and I have a walker to get me going, but it's frustrating not to be able to just get up and go. you aren't supposed to tell your legs to move, that should be automatic. But they are not good.
