Avatar f tn It is possible to have a high EF, but it could also be a heart that is compensating for a deficit in the circulation system. The normal range for EF (ejection fraction, amount of blood pumped with each heartbeat) is 50 to70%. When the EF is in the upper range, there is more blood pumped with each heart beat to maintain a balance of blood flow in equilibrium between the right and left side. Or for some pathological reason, the heart is pumping harder than normal.
Avatar n tn I have a second grader that can't seem to keep focused at school he sits in the front row and the teacher constantly has to make sure he is following along with the rest of the class and usually he's not he's somewhere else on the page, they do one side of a worksheet together as a class, but he just cannot follow along. I know it isn't ADHD because he can sit still and he isn't disruptive. WHat else can we do.
1003723 tn?1306252350 Yeah, going to the hospital and getting a tour and asking all those questions to see if what you want in your birth plan are available is defiantly the right thing to do. Our birth plan changed based on what the hospital had (changed for the better that is). When you tour and ask what things are available to mothers during the birthing process you might hear of things you wouldn't have thought to put.
Avatar m tn I took a look at the image CD myself and noticed some issues with the final report, worksheet and the actual images. On the images, the left thyroid has a measurement tool highlighting the nodule. It shows 10mm x 5mm and another image showing the height of 7mm. So I would expect 10mm x 5mm x 7mm, but the final report says 8mm x 7mm x 5mm, which I don't see anywhere in the images.
Avatar f tn I'm 38wks+3d with 4th baby dilated to 4 and contractions are little and far apart. All other babies were born at 38 weeks. Never had the water break on its own or crazy contractions until after Dr broke water. Even tho Dr said I was having contractions the whole time. I'm getting a little worried bc I feel some discomfort and pain but dr just says 'you'll know' not to go in until contractions are 5 min apart.

Same hospital..2 diff techs. The last tech seemd to take more time with the scan. I'm hoping these are simple cysts...since I didnt find out the first cyst in rt lobe was complex until I checked the worksheet that came with the CD.
Avatar f tn It is the hardest part is finding the NS that is right for you. Now you have it approved and everything will go more smoothly for you. Thanks for the good news.
Avatar f tn Even teacher offerred to sit with him and teach him one by one, he still did not want to do it either or he can only handle it for 15 minutes and wanted to quit. Later on, they told me that they downgraded the worksheet level to let him do kindergarten works as review and he was able to handle it so fast, After gaining confidence, then they gradually started to throw in some first grade works in between and he is able to accept and do it.

5549102 tn?1376522673 You can look up birth plans on the internet, and sometimes your doctor will provide you with a worksheet for one. Mine gave me a seven page packet for a birth plan that explains what my options for medication/freedom of movement/relaxation tecniques are. It gives me space to write what my feelings are about each option, and covers a lot more then what I wrote above. Just remember your birthplan is going to be a guideline for them to follow your wishes. It's not a contract for you or them.
Avatar f tn Your supposed to try an stay still when the needle is going in so that won't happen, i was having big contractions so if you do get it i recommend you get it before your contractions are worse.

8585833 tn?1399748005 I had preterm labor contractions too and placenta previa and I am on bed rest as well with a 4 year old. Try to explain to your 4 year old that you are weak due to baby inside. My son understands that. When are you due?
7708430 tn?1394287500 It just literally popped out of the blue for Me...with both of my previous children...very unexpected.
Avatar f tn I am 39 weeks with my third child, I have been having strong contractions for about 3 days now, they went from 20 to 10 down to about 6-7 minutes apart, lost my mucous plug 2 days ago. With both my other children, I never had to deal with contractions this long. They go from 8 mins apart to about 15-20. I'm sure this is normal but would just like some assurance.
Avatar f tn I am on strict bedrest because my placenta is grade 3 and ready for labor but when I wanna go in for the contractions they stop. I've had 2 children 1 with an epidural and 1 natural I know these are not Braxton hicks because if they were I would not be dilating.

Avatar f tn I have had all five of my children vaginaly, and how the same for number six. I was in there for almost 2 days with each one. It can take a long time but every woman is different as is every pregnancy! Good luck!!!
Avatar n tn For you ladies that have already had children or who are getting close to the end, when did you feel your first contraction? Tell us your first contraction experience, please. What did it feel like? Where were you? How did you react? I know every one is different but it would really help a lot for some of us ftm's to hear what us going to happen, especially the ones who might start having their first contractions soon.
Avatar f tn My contractions i had with my previous children did not feel like period cramps. My whole stomach would tighten up and they didnt really hurt, just really uncomfortable and had to breath through them. I have high pain tolerance though. Some people dont even get contractions, they experience back labor. So i guess everyone is diff.
1324549 tn?1295789235 I think it just sets us up for disappointment most of the time. Other things can trigger contractions besides actual labor like dehydration, stress, over doing it, under doing it... So, it can be really hard to know when the real deal is happening. My midwife gave me some good advice. When you start getting contractions do a few things to see if they continue before calling the hospital or birth center. Drink two glasses of water, If you have been sitting for a while...go for a walk.
556935 tn?1215720270 25 mg of Xanax. Everything we have read says that it has not been evaluated for safety and effectiveness in children and is not generally prescribed for them. What we need to know is, is it ok for her to take them? Should we take her to see another Doctor and have something else given to her or should my husband speak to her counselor about the supposed symptoms, since they aren't something that we have ever encountered when she has been with us? Please give us some advice.
