Avatar n tn You then stop and you can go back on it. If I were you, I would do that and also in between take the Yerba Prima - the husks that you put in a glass of water or juice.. But also as mentioned, I would definitely speak to another doctor. Also you may want to consider getting your magnesium level checked as low magnesium can cause constipation.. I hope you feel better soon.
Avatar f tn Now Foods is one of the least reliable suppliers historically -- they're a discounter. I personally like Daily Fiber blend by Yerba Prima. H. pylori can be treated with mastic gum, manukka honey, and DGL, among other natural remedies if you're not getting good results. It can also be treated with antibiotics, but then you'll have to rebuild your probiotic system, but they are stronger than natural remedies.
Avatar f tn I need advice for colon cleanse. Is colon cleanse necessary? i have good bowel function, regular BM's and generally good health and balanced diet. My question is should i do colon cleanse? At the moment i take Aloe Vera juice for colon cleanse. I need an advice.
Avatar n tn Hi, I was wondering what is the best method of taking Vit C?. Is it in tablet form or dissolved in water soluble . I currently take 1000mg tablets which dissolves in water. I take it to ease constipation(IBS),but it was also suggested on the forum to take magnesium .
Avatar n tn I used Super Colon Cleanse tablets by Health Plus Inc. It is sold on Amazon, but I got mine at GNC. The bottle says to take 4 tablets twice daily for 10 days. I did not notice any blood today.
709686 tn?1277432159 Before you call it quits on a med that's working, try a fiber supplement called Daily Fiber Formula by Yerba Prima. You can find it in any health food store. And analyze your diet. Is there enough fiber? Too much sugar? Too much white flour? Too much red meat? Try to work with the Lexapro, because finding something that works is very hard. Also keep in mind you're still on a very low dose. 5mg works for some, but the lowest therapeutic dose is 10mg.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Zoloft for depression and anxiety and am preparing to do a detox colon cleanse. Is it safe to do a all natural herbal detox colon cleanse while on Zoloft as long as the Zoloft is taken a few hours apart from all other supplements?
709686 tn?1277432159 I can only tell you that on imipramine, a tricycle, my constipation never went away. If it sticks around, and it very well may go away, try taking a fiber supplement called Daily Fiber Formula by Yerba Prima. You can find it in any health food store. What you don't want is to treat constipation with meds or laxatives, because you become dependent on them and the muscles that govern your evacuation weaken.
Avatar f tn This cleanse is meant to be used as a juice fast and laxative-based colon detox. You want to use it differently. I have no idea if this works if you do it the way they suggest, though I can almost guarantee the cleanse has nothing to do with weight loss -- if you stop eating of course you'll lose weight. When you start eating again, unless you change your diet, you'll gain the weight back. Using laxatives can be helpful in a short-term fast, but they can also be tricky.
Avatar n tn We virtually eat the same foods and I almost never smell. I thought maybe he needs a colon cleanse? What should he do so that every time he passes gas, or has a bowel movement we don't have to run to the other room!!?
685562 tn?1447155231 I there....first rule of thumb is to always do a colon cleanse first. If you would like to do some gentle cleanses, I would suggest going to your local health food store and looking for the Renew Life cleanses. They will walk you through the steps of which ones to do first. They are nice and gentle. Then I would suggest the big guns like Dr Natura....it is a colon and parasite cleanse. I have done this one twice! Yes there are many many kinds out there.....
Avatar f tn Is it true that it is normal to have them. I saw that you can do a colon cleanse to get rid of them, but if we need them, should I do a cleanse. Also I have IBS so I don't know if a cleanse would be a good idea.
256553 tn?1258883918 My RE has always had me take Prima Care One - they are big purple pills, take them with your dinner though and don't take them right before bed!!!
Avatar n tn Cramps may be coming from build up or even digestive dissorders. A good gentle cleanse I know of is called ACOG colon cleanse. I use it myself and it does wonders for the elimintation process. It comes with an Aloe vera concentrated juice that soothes and heals for a easy, painless and totally natural bowel movement. I say look it up, find more info and see for yourself. I think this will help.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any suggestions to jump start weight loss maybe a gentle cleanse nothing too harsh?
Avatar f tn The problem with using products that do a colon cleanse is that they are filled with laxatives, yes most of them have natural elements, but laxatives none the less. This actually causes more problems to your colon over a period of time. I swore by a colon cleanse product prior to my colonoscopy it was the ONLY thing that made me regular.
425312 tn?1279966179 Colon cleanse is not an enema. It's laxatives you take or drink very simular to what you took before your colonoscopy. They cleaned your colon out before they put the snake camera up your colon. LOL I don't think theres a lot of medical benefit to cleaning the colon unless you have constipation problems. Too much info right?
Avatar n tn I think it's important for your mom to know how healthy her liver is before attempting any cleanses. I've tried a colon cleanse with no problems in the past, but liver cleanses tend to be less gentle...and if her liver is challenged, she may more run into problems. My personal opinion is to stay away from any product that has a long list of ingredients unless you have the time to look up each one. In the case of liver health, more is NOT better.
Avatar f tn there are so many product, you can use Liquid Cleanse by Genesis PURE experience, 100% Liquid Vegetarian product with no excipients or binders
5766249 tn?1375776295 Vegetable Juices, green leafy vegetables low fat foods and fibers help to cleanse colon and lose weight as well. This type of vegetable is rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber that passes through the body quickly, taking with harmful toxins stuck in digestive tract. Try to avoid high fat foods, processed foods for weight loss and colon health.
Avatar m tn I just want to let every body who is suffering from the symptoms of constipation, IBS, Diabetes, High colesterol, high blood pressure, over weight, low metabolism (just to name a few) ACOG Colon Cleanse is a great product to investigate.

1585723 tn?1296821612 I dring Guayaki Yerba Matte heavily about 3 to 5 x weekly on average. Maybe 2 bags a day. My ALT and AST seem to have gone down or stayed stable even though my fatty liver and dependence on sweets and fats is getting worse.
Avatar f tn Most of the colon cleanse products contain some form of senna or other product that is a anthraquinone-like compound. Anthraquinone is a stimulant laxative which works by irritating the lining of the colon to promote 'emptying.' I really don't think with diverticulitis a stimulant laxative would be indicated. Check with your doc.
