Avatar f tn I am currently using clindamycin 1% twice a day as well as benzoyl peroxide 10% in the morning and retin-a .025% before bed. I wash my face twice a day and after I sweat with a salicylic acid wash. I use a clean facial scrub brush to wash my face and help with exfoliation. I change my pillow case every night and never touch my face. I have listed the different medications I have tried in the past at the bottom of this post.
Avatar n tn In your case, if you had bouts of acne before, and the bumps do not appear to involve follicles and also do not appear to blister and crust, then this is most likely acne. For localized bumps such as what you have, the mainstay is sticking to a proper facial cleansing regimen. Use a mild and bland product that is hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic. Use a mild toner to tighten the pores and do not exfoliate at this point.

Avatar m tn This begun after a severe sunburn (it affected everything from my waist to my neck but not my lower body or face), but after that my arms rarely if ever are exposed to direct sunlight. No other such incident occured. This has made no difference. Also exposure to sunlight of my face or hands, has not caused any negative reaction throughout the years. I started Benzoyl Peroxide (but i read this is a carcinogen) at night, every other night, and i clean it with lemon during the day.
Avatar f tn My skin clears up on the medication but it breaks out again about week after treatment ends. I was also given some topical treatments, including a benzoyl peroxide wash and ketoconazole shampoo (used a body wash) to alternate with every day, and clindamycin topical lotion which i did not see much improvement with. I even tried nasal mupiricin ointment because my doctor thought it was staph. I had a culture done and the results came back negative for s.

Avatar n tn Avoid picking or pressing the acne. You can also use Benzoyl peroxide 5% lotion or gel once at bedtime. An amount of lotion the size of a pea should be enough to cover most of your face. If your skin becomes red or peels, you are using too much of the medicine or applying it too often. If the symptoms persist then topical antibiotics like Clindamycin may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. I sincerely hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Avatar m tn Hi, I'm Rhyan, from the Philippines. Well, I'm an acne sufferer.. 3 months ago, I was perfectly looking good, my face was clear, there was pimples but you could rarely see them on my face and they were getting healed naturally and fast. But now, everything turned upside down, I had breakouts that almost covered my entire face by acne in just 3 months!
