But here is my question. I ended up with a respiratory infection and the Doc gave me Clarithromycin, I have to take 2X 500mg a day for ten days. I started the medication the day of the sexual encounter.
Will Clarithromycin help clear up any of the STD's that I might have caught during the act?
There is not too much info on Clarithromycin and STD's out there. I know one thing it is sure working on my respiratory infection big time.

I get this strange taste in my mouth its kinda gross tasting then I get this dizzy feeling but im not really dizzy im more of the feeling that im walking around in a daze ..I went to ER already and they couldn't find anything wrong with me ..it sometimes lasts for a few minutes to several hours. Please help if you can ..im kinda worried its been going on almost a week now.
Pylori is 1000mg (1g) of Amoxicillin combined with 500mg of clarithromycin and PPI in your case Lansoprazole 30 mg - 2 times a day.
Are you allergic to any drugs? For examples penicillins? then maybe your doctor meant to write metronidazole 500mg as there is another type of treatment for penicillin allergic patients which includes metronidazole 500mg + clarithromycin 500mg + PPI.

Hi, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection a few weeks ago and prescribed a z-pack, which I took with no issues. I am still feeling the symptoms in my sinuses so I went to the Dr last week and was prescribed Amoxicillin. About 20 mins after taking it I had this strange sensation on my lip...like a tingling/itching feeling and became itchy all over. I called the Dr and she prescribed Clarithromycin. I didn't want to take it right away, just in case I had a similar reaction.
Clarithromycin alone was sufficient.

About 3 days ago 3/17/09 I was involved with a random unprotected oral sex activity with a female at a bachelor party. I have just competed a course of clarithromycin, and continue to have nausea, salivation, and a gnawing feeling in my stomach. These symptoms are very similar to those I had while pregnant, ie morning sickness, but all day.

Hi my name is jennifer I been taking antibiotics for the past 2 weeks, Omeprazole 20 mg, Metronidazole 500 mg and Clarithromycin 500 mg and also I been taking my birth control pills for the past 3 weeks (Jolivette).
I jus found out today I am pregnant. I'm concer with the health of the unborn baby. I am worry if the any possibility of births defects and any other problem related to the medications.
My only concern was that if i was exposed to syphilis during the oral exposure and gave it to my partner even with the antibiotic treatment I was on(clarithromycin then doxycycline) and essentially that could have been what the lesion was on her rectum. However I assume those odds are very very low.
Hello I am Dipanjan. My mother (51 years) has been diagnosed with antral gastritis and also got a positive result for the presence of Helicobacter Pylori. She has been prescribed with Mox 250mg( Amoxycillin capsules), Maclar 250mg( Clarithromycin), omeprazole tabs. He's been dealing with tooth pain and my insurance covers very little found out it'll be around $800.00 tip brave two extractions. I'm waiting till Dec1st 2016 when my second dental insurance kicks in.until than can i use clarithromycin 500 mg to help ease the pain? It was mine but i never had to use it.
