2 weeks after radiotherapy my wisdom tooth has got an infection and crumbling. have had teeth problem for some time since i have had Cancer of left breast and lymph nodes. Have Hashimoto's which does not help. Now.. noticed a red line from my jaw going down my neck, i have some Clarithromycin 500mg in date, do you think it would be a good idea to take them. One or two to start with then twice a day. Its new years eve tomorrow and nothing is open and no advice.

I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Niacin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin.

This past month I finally found a good oral surgeon who removed the 2 teeth causing the problem, and cleaned out the bone underneath. He cultured the surgical sites for bacteria, and found:
- Streptococcus Viridans
- Bacteroides Gracilis
- Haemophilus Influenzae
- Hameophilus Parainfluenzae
- Neisseria species
Which of the bacteria above are not susceptible to Augmentin? I'm trying to figure out with my doctors what antibiotics to take to fight this infection.
Hello dear experts, help me please. I have H pylori. Doctor prescribed: clarithromycin 500 mg (1 tablet twice a day), omeprazole 20 mg (1 tablet twice a day) and amoxicillin 500 mg (2 tablets twice a day). After just talking first and second doses I have bitter taste in my mouth. In addition, I feel weak and little scared. I am thinking, may be it is side effect or the medicine just has a bitter taste.

There is not too much info on Clarithromycin and STD's out there. I know one thing it is sure working on my respiratory infection big time.

He had some left over clarithromycin 500 mg about 10 days worth and he began taking that. I told him he should just get tested but he dosent have insurance currently and is unemployed. He said even if I have an std clarithromycin should clear it up its a very strong anti-bacterial antibiotic. Is this true?
prescribed the triple therapy which consists of Lanzoprazole 30 mg, Amoxicillin 500 mg and clarithromycin 500 mg. The problem is that she told me to take only one pill of amoxicillin (500mg) every 12 hours but it was supposed to be two pills (1g) according to FDA and other resources. I am very concerned because I know that this bacteria becomes resistant to antibiotics. What should I do?, How long do I wait before I take another test to see if the bacteria is gone or not?
About a month ago I was prescribed a course of Clarithromycin for a skin infection. Since taking the drug I've suffered huge surges of adrenaline, which kicks in like a lighting shot at the point of sleep. It kept me away many nights and I was beside myself with worry. Hi, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection a few weeks ago and prescribed a z-pack, which I took with no issues. I am still feeling the symptoms in my sinuses so I went to the Dr last week and was prescribed Amoxicillin. About 20 mins after taking it I had this strange sensation on my lip...like a tingling/itching feeling and became itchy all over. I called the Dr and she prescribed Clarithromycin. I didn't want to take it right away, just in case I had a similar reaction.

I have no signs of any symptoms on my penis. Yesterday 3/20/09 I was prescribed clarithromycin er 500 for 7 days for a sinus infection. After reading a lot on the internet it appears that EVERY STD can be obtained through oral sex which I was not aware. If I were your patient, what advice would you recommend? Will the anti biotic prescribed for my sinuses deal with any bacterial std I may have caught or could it suppress the symptoms?
She said it was not possible oral swab to be done at that clinic (just genital). She decided to start a treatment (clarithromycin and ceftriaxone) for gonorrhea (without testing and diagnosis). I hope it works if I have oral gonorrhea. Sorry to bother you. I am just worried.
I have just competed a course of clarithromycin, and continue to have nausea, salivation, and a gnawing feeling in my stomach. These symptoms are very similar to those I had while pregnant, ie morning sickness, but all day.
I finished the drug 3 days ago.
Will these symptoms ever stop?
